Here’s a list of what we’re getting this month!
We’ve always had everything arrive rock-solid, so there have been no issues with temperature control during shipping. The meat arrives ready to throw in the freezer or thaw for use.
All the meats are vacuum-sealed in plastic, packed in an insulated bag, and then kept frozen within the outer soft-side cooler padding and box with a large dry ice pack.
According to this part of the box, they are made using eco-friendly and 100% recyclable materials.
Everything is portioned to a manageable size, so you can pull it from the freezer as needed without thawing more than you want. There are a couple of big roasts, but everything else is portioned smaller.
Here are all our choices!
Everything in my January 2020 box!
We got chicken wings and ground beef for life!
Ground Beef. It’s a monthly staple in our box! This grass-fed ground beef from Butcher Box is made of 85% lean and 15% fat.
It’s a juicy and meaty beef that is ideal to use as burger patties and for grilling cause it won’t flare up much when cooked.
Organic Chicken Wing Sections. These organic chicken wings are non-GMO and USDA-certified. There are 3 packs, and each contains 7 to 10 pieces which are perfect for barbecues.
They’re also great for frying and coating with a variety of sauces. They don’t contain hormones and steroids either!
This month’s box also contains boneless pork loin chop and sirloin tips.
Boneless Pork Loin Chops. Pork loin is a wide and thick cut of meat with a steak-like shape and a layer of fat. It’s ideal for roasts!
We have 2 packs of the pork loin chops. They’re boneless so they cook faster.
Sirloin Tips. This cut of meat is lean, muscular, and low in fat. We love using it in roasts and stews as well.
Each bag contains one pound of pure grass-fed sirloin tips beef meat.
This part of the beef is so good, as it features a tender texture and a rich flavorful taste.
Here’s the next batch of meat, which includes Pork Loin Baby Back Ribs, Boneless Pork Butt, and Bottom Round Roast.
Pork Loin Baby Back Ribs. This is definitely one of my all-time fave! Pork baby back ribs are a distinct pork cut that is usually cooked through smoking, grilling, or even baking.
This part of pork was taken from the top of the rib cage between the spine and the spare ribs, below the loin. It’s not as meaty as regular cuts but it’s absolutely tasty.
Grass-Fed Beef Bottom Round Roast. It’s a special cut of meat that highlights boneless low-fat meat from the lean and active muscle, which means it contains lesser fat but produces a ton of flavor.
It pretty looks much like the tenderloin meat but just a bit tougher and way tastier!
Boneless Pork Butt. Pork butt, also known as pork shoulder, is another meat cut ideal for roasting as it’s tough and comes with just the right amount of fat.
This cut of meat also stays moist even after cooking it for a long time!
If you are a meat lover, Butcher Box is an ideal subscription to try! Although the box is a bit pricey, they always make sure that you’ll only be getting the highest quality meat available. This month’s box includes a great combination of beef, pork, and even chicken. The pork baby back ribs will always be one of our forever favorites! All the meat arrived deep-freezed and was cut into manageable sizes, so preparing and cooking them is way easier. We loved it so much!
Stay tuned for our “what we made this month” post to show you our goodies all cooked up!
