Upon opening, I was greeted with a bright yellow card.
The items were wrapped in tissue paper.
The yellow card is a tip from the Birchbox Team!
Birchbox Tip #23: It’s easier to prevent dry skin that fix it. So, change your nighttime skincare routine if you wake up with dry skin.
At the back, there are brief details on each item as well as the price if you were to buy the full size.
You can visit Birchbox.com/MyBox to easily see the details of your box, which I recommend because sometimes they have videos on the item product pages which I find useful.
Everything in my January 2020 box! Before we get started on this curated box, I’m going to make a note that every product smells amazing, they all layer on and have that signature Oribe scent. I thought the entire idea of a curated Oribe box was pretty amazing, and it really hooked me on the complete Oribe hair care and styling routine!
Oribe Signature Shampoo ($2.3) Perfect for all hair types, this shampoo cleanses, moisturizes and smoothens hair while delivering hair-strengthening properties from keratin and hydrolyzed keratin. It lathers really well and leaves my hair fresh and bouncy. The formula also provides UV protection and is even vegan, cruelty-free, and gluten-free.
Oribe Signature Conditioner ($1.49) Safe and gentle for daily use, this conditioner has a revolutionary bio-restorative complex that revives the hair, making it look healthy and shiny. This also smells great. It’s a really great combo with the shampoo because they make my hair feel really soft!
Oribe Straight Away Smoothing Blowout Cream ($5.29) This hair cream smooths and tames my hair effortlessly, cutting my ironing and blow-drying time in half! I love how lightweight the formula is. It has Heat Activated Protein that protects the hair against damages due to thermal styling so I won’t have to worry about drying my hair out with all the styling products I use!
Oribe Supershine Moisturizing Cream ($5.2) This leave-in conditioner moisturizes my dry hair really well! A small amount really goes a long way. Just a small amount massaged into damp hair and it will keep your hair soft and smooth all throughout the day!
Oribe Grandiose Hair Plumping Mousse ($8.8) An amazing way to add volume to your hair! This plumping mousse does a great job of puffing my hair out to make it look more alive and healthy. It contains sunflower seed oil, glycerin and vitamin E that keeps the hair moisturized and full of volume!
Oribe Après Beach Wave and Shine Spray ($10.48) To help me achieve gorgeous beach waves, here’s a moisturizing spray packed with hydrolyzed wheat protein, pro-vitamin B5, unique copolymer, and amber extract! The formula swells the hairshaft and creates wavy hair textures with a light hold on your hair to keep the waves in place!
Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray ($22) This texturizing spray acts like a dry shampoo, absorbing hair oils and leaving hair feeling fresh and clean! It has zeolite crystallines that behave like tiny sponges to absorb the oils and trap the dirt build up on your hair. I love how this leaves my hair volumized and looking glam even without styling! Plus as you might already know – it smells so delicious!
This month’s curated box is all about hair care and I’m here for it! All the items came from Oribe and everything was nothing short of amazing! They all worked so well with my fine hair. I love the Beach Wave and Shine spray because it gives my hair an effortlessly gorgeous look all the time! With the items’ total worth coming up to $55.56, this box definitely gives you a run for your money! The Dry Texturizing Spray itself costs more than what I paid for this box! Now I’m so excited to see what I’ll get for next month!
