Surprise!

Every print arrives with a mini-interview of the artist. This month, we have Sarah Abbott, an artist from Sheffield, UK.

It gives us a glimpse of the artist’s creative process.

Everything in my pack!

“Herbs” Digital Artwork. The artist love plants and she made this digital artwork for her personal collection of plant-inspired prints, which is a modern take on old illustrated diagrams. The picture includes coriander, rosemary, mint, tarragon, thyme, chives, bay, dill, oregano, parsley, sage, and basil.

The back of the artwork gives us more information about the art piece, like the print method used, display suggestions, and more.

You can also appreciate the artwork more by considering some questions listed.

“Held” Postcard. Another artwork that shows us the artist’s love for plants is this cool postcard! It shows a hand holding stems of adorable flowers. It’s simple but it says a lot about the artist’s fondness of not just the plants, but with natural lighting as well.

The back of the postcard shares the art style used by the artists. For this one, they also included some inspiring words from the artist:

I think it’s easy to get lost online, or in your work, so it’s important to take moments to remind yourself you’re a real life person in a real life world.

Papirmass Creative Card. This month’s creative card features a beautiful quote by Brene Brown:

Talk to yourself like you would talk to someone you love.

At the back, there is an adorable image of a sweater that you can improve by adding some fun color! They also encourage you to share the finished project on Instagram.

Papirmass showcases talents that are really commendable. There are different featured artists every month and they use different media and art styles. For this month, Sarah Abbott uses digital art to express herself and her love for plants. She finds it easier to do work on her computer as she can easily change things. I like the herbs digital print. It’s not just a nice decoration, but a helpful one too when it comes to identifying herbs that we can use especially in cooking. The postcard has a simpler design, but still, it’s very good art that showcases the plants’ positive influences on her.
