Skootle Box is a monthly subscription box that helps develop the kids’ fine motor skills and balance their sensory needs. The box costs about $42 USD ($55 CAD) + shipping/tax each month. Each month, you will receive 4-6 activities that work on skills that promote fine motor development, coordination, sensory regulation, and strength. It’s great for kids who struggle with everyday activities like holding pencils, cutting with scissors, or zipping up. The activities come complete with instructions on how to use the activities in various ways to aid the child’s development.

The contents of the box are protected with bubble wrap. A note is also placed on top of everything inside!

There are squiggles that protect the rest of the contents of the box.

It also includes a parent’s guide to the box.

It lists all the activities that both parents and children will enjoy!

There’s a card that features a quote from Roman god and hero, Hercules:

I know every mile will be worth my while.

The flip side encourages us to share a photo or video of the kids enjoying the box!

Everything in my box!

Cassidy Labs Poplings. The first thing we got from the box is this cute bright orange guy! It’s called a “popling” as it sticks on flat surfaces and pops when you pluck it out!

Except for the big round eyes, there are no other facial features. It will help to give a child a sensory break by finding out where it can and cannot stick.

Crazy Aaron’s Sunburst Thinking Putty ($1.61) The small tin contains 1/5 lb. of thinking putty that comes in a mix of orange and lemon yellow.  This will be great for challenged individuals, and will also help develop the creative skills of a child.

The putty can be stretched, bounced, popped, or torn! You can also form a shape or image out of it! It is made of non-toxic silicone that never dries out.

Boinks. The boinks are fun toys that we can use for a sensory break. We got a long green tube and a smaller bright yellow one.

To play, just squish the two the ends towards each other, let go, and the boinks fly!

Usborne Wipe-Clean First Letters ($11.44)

This fun book is a perfect way for young children to learn how to read and write. Children are encouraged to draw over the dotted lines to finish the letters in each brightly-illustrated scene. Each page is wipe-clean so that children can write on them with the special pen over and over again.

The book is a great way for young children to learn about letter shapes.

The book came with a wipe-clean pen so that the kids can write over the dotted lines and finish the writing the letter shapes.

The book is also filled with fun and colorful pictures!

This activity kept my son busy for a while!

Melissa & Doug Scissor Skills Activity Pad ($17.99) Handling a scissor may be a challenge to most kids. Here’s something that can help them to practice cutting effectively and safely!

The activity pad also includes a child-safe pair of scissors, aside from the 20 full-color activity pages.

The scissors are made of plastic, unlike the normal ones that are made with sharp metal. It’s also a fun and encouraging way to teach the kids to follow instructions.

There are lots of pictures to cut, and they came in all sizes, shapes, and colors!

My son tried cutting the photos and he did it without difficulties!

Melissa & Doug Transfer Sticker Scenes Around The Town ($4.99) We also got these amazing sheets of rub-on stickers!

The kids can easily enjoy this one as it came with detailed and illustrated instructions on how to use.

There are two fold-out scenes where we can use these rub-on stickers. We can position them first on the scene before rubbing them on and taking off the film to reveal the sticker design!

Melissa & Doug 10 Jumbo Triangular Crayons ($5.99) It’s a set of non-roll crayons! Each piece is bright and beautiful!

The set contains 10 vibrant colors, which are stronger than regular crayons. They’re placed on a tray.

The shape of the crayons made them easier to grip. These are also sturdier than regular crayons, which is perfect for little kids who often break their coloring tools!

Our first box is a blast! We love all the contents, as they’re perfect for developing kids’ various skills and also helps physically challenged children and individuals. Each toy or item that came in the box has a target trait to develop which makes it such a well-rounded box. We love the scissor skills activity pad that helps the kids overcome their fear by using the scissors. The rub-on stickers are nice and the new crayons are a hit with my kids as well. We are so happy to get this box, and we will highly recommend parents to get this box for their kids!
