LUXSB – Luxury Scent Box is a subscription fragrance service that wants you to “LOVE LIFE WITH PERFUME™”! They send you the perfume or cologne of your choice for $15 a month ($3 extra for premium scents). You can choose your own scents or let them pick for you based on answers you give on a short quiz. They have tons of authentic designer and niche fragrances for you to choose from, which they decant into bottles before shipping. You can choose month-to-month or pay for 11 months and get the 12th month free! Shipping is always free.

DEAL: Get $5 off your first box! Use coupon code HELLOSUBSCRIPTION. Applies to new members only.

When you create your account there is a short questionnaire that you fill in so that Luxury Scent Box will know what types of scents you prefer.

Luxury Scent Box has a huge assortment of fragrances, including niche and designer choices such as Black Opium and TokyoMilk. Note that Premium fragrances are $3 extra. You can also search by brand or fragrance note to find something you might love.

You can add additional fragrances to your account and even purchase extra cases if you like. New members receive a case with their first order and a new case every quarter. The Premium $18 membership includes a new case every month (in addition to those pricier scents).

Everything in my box!

I found a black card…

…that reminded me that add-ons are $18 each and includes a case.

Another card showed how to open and close the cases and how to refill it with a different scent vial. Don’t forget to rate your fragrance and fill up your calendar with fragrances to try. You can also share your pictures on social media.

The back of the card thanked me for becoming a member. I want to note that if you love a fragrance you receive, you can purchase a full-sized bottle on the LUXSB site and receive a member discount.

A final card introduced one of the featured fragrance houses.

The back of that card listed the fragrances from that house that can be found on the LUXSB site.

Cases come in a velvet bag to keep them from getting scratched in a purse or backpack.

I received three scents this month and each one came in a box. Each bottle holds .3 ounces (9ml) of scent.

Cases come in a variety of colors!

Here I’ve shown one out of the case, one being placed in the case, and one with the nozzle exposed. Just twist to hide the nozzle.

I received three scents that are very different from each other.

Parfums De Marly Sedbury Eau De Parfum ($172.78 for 2.5 ounces) There are so many different scent notes for this chypre floral fragrance – tuberose, vanilla, iris, tangerine, and more! On me, this is just a creamy white floral with powdery nuances and I can’t pick up any of the deeper or citrusy notes at all. It lasts and lasts, it won’t stop! I can’t decide if this is better for winter or spring, and probably works well for both seasons.

Starry Nights Montale Eau De Parfum ($170 for 3.3 ounces) If you want a perfume that smells good even hours later then I would suggest Starry Nights! It’s an oriental floral with notes of apple, musk, amber, and roses. Plus patchouli. Sound like a lot going on? It is! It’s loud and sexy and a bit dirty. The apple isn’t fresh and crisp, it’s turned to cider and the rose isn’t like on a summer day, it’s mellow and relaxed. So there is some sweetness to it, but it’s not for a spring day. This is a heavy winter fragrance with some good longevity. I love it!

Vanille Extreme Comptoir Sud Pacifique Eau De Toilette ($42 for one ounce) It may be cooler weather now but I can smell like a tropical paradise thanks to Comptoir’s scents! Vanille Extreme is an oriental vanilla according to Fragrantica, but it is also a big, sweet gourmand to my nose. It has notes of vanilla, sugar, and milk, plus heliotrope. It reminds me of a less woodsy English Laundry Signature For Her. It smells like cupcakes and happiness, it’s warm and innocent. Longevity and projection are not very high though, but in the summer that would be a good thing so I’m stashing it away until then.

LUXSB is a great way to discover new scents or to pick up travel sizes of past favorites. They have an extensive collection and add more all the time. I am always impressed by the niche lines that they have and it is an inexpensive way to try those scents that may be harder to come by (and that tend to be pricey).

I love LUXSB perfume subscription. I have tried other similar subs but this one is top notch from the selection, size, and service overall.

Kelly S., I agree, and I think they have a great selection of fragrances and are always adding more.
