My box was dressed up for the holidays with gold paper that was sealed with a sticker!

I received a card about the Fresh Fiction website, where you can read reviews of books and enter giveaways.

The back of the card tells how you can become a reviewer on the Fresh Fiction website!

I received two other cards: one is a link to download Ginger Snapped To Death ($4.99 value) and the other is about the featured book for December.

I found 5 brand new books inside my box!

I also found a Biscoff cookie, although it was pretty crushed. Maybe I can sprinkle it on vanilla pudding.

Everything in my box!

Slow Dancing At Sunrise by Jo McNally (List Price $7.99, now $4.79) I’ve watched a lot of Hallmark movies and this is similar to the story lines of a lot of those shows. Girl gets disillusioned with life in the big city, moves back to her small town home, and meets a rugged guy who underneath it all has a heart that’s as soft as a marshmallow. Makes for a fun read!

Welcome to Rendezvous Falls, New York, where love is where you least expect it…

When accountant Whitney Foster’s carefully calculated life blows up, she escapes to the one place that’s always felt like home. But Rendezvous Falls has changed since she’s been away. Her aunt Helen’s winery is in trouble. And she doesn’t trust the sexy, surly stranger working the vineyard as far as she can throw him.

Luke Rutledge would do anything for Helen, who’s been like a mother to him. Revive the winery? Sure. Repair her property? No problem. Tolerate Helen’s infuriating, big-shot niece? Well…maybe. But as he and Whitney are forced to work together to rebuild the business, her chilly facade reveals a woman as complex and intoxicating as a fine merlot. Throw in a matchmaking book club hell-bent on happily-ever-after and it’s a potent cocktail.

Love should never be calculated. But it doesn’t take Whitney’s math skills to see that this is adding to up to one tantalizing adventure…

The Beast Of Beswick by Amalie Howard ($7.99) is the rowdy romp of the bunch and since it is the featured book, every subscriber should receive this in their box. It is a beauty and the beast type of story, although the beast in this book is scarred from battle and wants nothing to do with the heroine, until it comes to saving her sister from his enemy, then they are able to join forces.

Beauty and the Beast meets Taming of the Shrew in this laugh-out-loud and heartfelt Regency romance.

Lord Nathaniel Harte, the disagreeable Duke of Beswick, spends his days smashing porcelain, antagonizing his servants, and snarling at anyone who gets too close. With a ruined face like his, it’s hard to like much about the world. Especially smart-mouthed harpies―with lips better suited to kissing than speaking―who brave his castle with indecent proposals.

But Lady Astrid Everleigh will stop at nothing to see her younger sister safe from a notorious scoundrel, even if it means offering herself up on a silver platter to the forbidding Beast of Beswick himself. And by offer, she means what no highborn lady of sound and sensible mind would ever dream of―a tender of marriage with her as his bride.

Christmas in Winter Hill by Melody Carlson ($16.99 list price, now $9.94) A few of the books we received this month take place during Christmastime. This one takes place in a town that goes all out for Christmas, but the star of the book isn’t a fan of the holiday. I think this will be a quick read, something to read in between decking the halls.

Krista Galloway is not a fan of Christmas. After her rough childhood in multiple foster homes, the holiday season just brings too many bad memories to the surface. But when she accepts a job as a city manager in the mountain town of Winter Hill, Washington, Christmas is part of the deal. The small town is famous for its Christmasville celebration, something that the city manager . . . well, manages.

As she tries to make her tiny new apartment feel like home for her and her eight-year-old daughter, Emily, Krista begins to wonder if this move was a mistake. She doesn’t always feel welcomed in the close-knit town, and Emily continually wonders, “Where’s the snow?” Can a friendly stranger and his family help restore Krista’s Christmas spirit before the big day?

Bestselling author Melody Carlson invites you to spend this holiday season in a town you’ll never forget–and never want to leave.

Christmas Angels by Nancy Naigle ($15.99 list price, now $12.59) Remember I mentioned Hallmark movies? Here’s one that sounds perfect for their Christmas lineup. A woman buys an inn that belonged to her grandparents in the past and works to restore it to its former glory. Her handsome neighbor, who was her childhood friend, wants to help her with the restoration project. Will sparks fly along with the sawdust shavings?

A heartwarming Christmas story filled with the magic and miracles of the holiday season by USA Today Bestselling author, Nancy Naigle.

Growing up, Liz Westmoreland dreamed of taking over her grandparents inn located in the small mountain town of Antler Creek only for it to be sold before she ever got the chance. While browsing the internet, she stumbles upon a listing for what looks to be the picturesque inn and it’s set to go to auction. Liz places a bid, and by a miracle, wins the auction. But when she gets there she finds the property in significant disrepair.

When Matt Hardy narrowly lost the inn and property that butted his land, he just hoped it wasn’t another city slicker coming to make matters worse after the previous owners gutted the place for an art gallery. But the minute he recognized the sweet, freckle-faced girl from his childhood and heard her plans to reopen the inn, he jumps at the chance to help his childhood crush restore a place where he made so many fond memories.

While working on repairs, Liz and Matt discover her grandmother’s collection of angels in one of the cabins. When the angels start mysteriously showing up all over the inn, she begins to look at them as reassurance―that restoring the inn is what she’s meant to do. But when an accident leaves Liz feeling like she made a mistake, will Matt―and the residents of Antler Creek―be able to show Liz that she’s found a home? And possibly true love as well?

Deadly Deceit by Natalie Walters ($14.99) is book 2 of 3 in the Harbored Secrets series. It takes us away from the holiday festivities but is a romantic suspense novel so your blood should get pumping.

Independent and tenacious journalist Vivian DeMarco is back in Walton, Georgia, for one reason–to do her job and get out. When her boss suddenly dies under suspicious circumstances, Vivian’s only hope for finding the truth–and the next big story–is small-town law enforcement’s lanky poster boy, Deputy Ryan Frost. But the deeper they dig, the more twisted the truth becomes, and Vivian finds herself fighting for not only answers but also her life. False leads, incriminating emails, and someone called The Watcher force Vivian to confront the secret of her past and decide: How much is she willing to risk for the sake of a headline?

Author Natalie Walters welcomes you back to Walton, Georgia, where everyone knows your name–but no one knows your secret.

Fresh Fiction sent some lovely books this month that I can’t wait to read! I thought the Christmas books all sounded like good reads and I appreciate that some of the offerings are lighter, especially during this season. There was still a sexy story-line and a mystery, so I have a couple of different genres to choose from, but all of them feature a romance. Using current selling prices on Amazon, my books had a value of around $55.29!

Which book would you read first? Let me know in the comments!
