Japan Crate is a monthly subscription box that helps you “experience the excitement of Japan every month through fun candy & snacks.” They have three subscription levels that start at $12 a month and offer 1, 3, 6, or 12-month plans that auto-renew at the end of the term. Japan Crate aims to send candy that is fun and exclusively available in Japan.

This is a review of the Premium box!

Featured at the back of the booklet are the different selfies of subscribers with their Japan Crate box. Upload your own selfie and tag #JAPANCRATE for a chance to be featured on the next month’s issue!

Inside the booklet is a chart of contents that lists all the snacks from three different box sizes. There are 3 different subscription levels available: The Mini includes 5 items, the Original includes those items PLUS another 5 items, and the Premium includes those 10 items PLUS another 5 items.

This booklet also includes food and some cultural information about Japan.

Happiness Honey Cheese Potatoes. You’ll never go wrong with Cheetos! This is a limited edition version of Cheetos, featuring crunchy corn sticks with four different kinds of cheeses including camembert, cheddar, mozzarella, and cream cheese, plus a subtle honey flavor. The snack is uniquely savory!

Chico-Chan Fusen Gum. This gum features a super cute Chico-Chan-themed wrapper! I love its unique cider flavor, texture, and scent. Plus it’s so soft, chewy, juicy with a long-lasting sweet taste!

Sour Cola Gummy. We got another gummy in our box, and this time it’s a cola-shaped and flavored gummy candy that is showered with sour sugar. It’s refreshing and easy to chew on!

Konjac Jelly. It’s a super soft and juicy jelly stick treat contains lime water blended with the yummy taste of konjac. It’s lightweight, handy, and really flavorful, making it the perfect dessert treat that you can easily bring on-the-go!

Corn Policky. This baked snack is similar to Pocky. These pretzel sticks doesn’t have a luscious coating, but it’s still a flavorful treat that you can easily grab and eat on-the-go! The sweet corn flavoring makes it really addicting!

Gyokuro and Matcha Salt Pride Potato. This bag of treat features Koikeya’s trademark crispy and salty potato chips. They contain a blend of three different tea leaves including Nishio Matcha, Tamecha Techa, and Gyokuro. It’s perfect for tea lovers! The tea flavors are subtle and not overwhelming!

Tsumu Gummy. These gummies are shaped like Tetris blocks! They come in different flavors including strawberry, grapes, and tangerine. Each piece is chewy and bursting with flavor!

Sonomanma Soda. It’s a ramune-flavored gummy that features a unique gooey center. Each pack contains 3 chewy pieces, with 1 of them features a sour flavor. You can test your luck with 2 other friends and see who gets the sour one!

Maple Hot Cake. Inside this pack is a pair of super-soft hotcakes with special maple syrup fillings to satisfy your sweets cravings!

Pudding Flavored Jelly. It’s a dessert-like jelly ace that features a creamy and sweet pudding flavor. They’re really soft!

Mini Annoimo Angel Pie. Angel Pie is a unique and flavorful treat made with chocolate-coated biscuits and a scrumptious potato-flavored marshmallow cream filling. This box contains 8 individually packed pies, which you can consume separately or share with your loved ones. The stuffing is so fluffy and very flavorful!

Chocolate Melon Bread. These bite-sized melon bun cookies are so yummy! They are filled with a creamy melon-chocolate flavored filling that brings absolute satisfaction. They’re so soft and they go well with hot beverages.

GyoGyoGyo Gum. This package contains different flavors of chewy candies which include green apple, grapes, peach, and yogurt. Everything is tasty and they don’t stick on your teeth. Also, the back of the pack features flavor combinations to enjoy!

Sherbe Pero Sider. This is definitely not your ordinary candy, as each lollipop is dipped in a sour, fizzy, and sherbet-flavored candy powder, leaving your mouth a refreshing and tingling sensation inside!

Kinakobo. It’s a traditional Japanese treat, a mochi made using roasted soybean flour. It’s satisfying and filling!

Sobameshi. We got another classic Japanese treat, made from the delectable combination of puffed rice and dried ramen noodles showered with savory yakisoba flavor. You can munch on these straight out of the bag or use them as noodle toppings!

Autumn Potato Kit Kat. I’ve tasted a lot of different kinds and flavors of KitKat, and this one here is definitely one of the best. This version of KitKat features sweet potato in between wafers, plus their trademark white chocolate as a coating. Inside the pack are 11 individually wrapped sweets that you can easily share with your family and friends. The scent right upon opening it is enticing and every bite brings pure pleasure!

Vivits Hokkaido Melon Mix Soda. Nothing beats a fruit-flavored soda, especially the one blended with a refreshing melon flavor. This month’s drink is a carbonated drink mixed with the flavors of Hokkaido red melon juice. It’s so sweet and truly refreshing!

Japan Crate is a fun and awesome way of getting your hands on the best and the tastiest Japanese snacks. Every box is jampacked, just like this month’s box filled with fruity, sweet, and tasty munchies. Our favorites are the melon soda and the Cheetos, as well as the sweet potato-flavored KitKat! If you want to share the flavors of Japan with your friends or family, the Premium box is definitely worth it!
