Gramma in a Box is a monthly subscription for kids (from a real Grandma!) that sends homemade cookies with frosting and sprinkles along with two easy candy crafts to make at least 15-20 edible treats.

<DEAL:  Get $5 off when you signup for a 3 month or longer plan! Use coupon code 5OFF.

The items arrived in a red box with a Gramma in a Box sticker.

The kit shows up bundled neatly together under some cute red polka dots tissue. It is secured using another Gramma In A Box sticker.

All the items come in separate plastic containers.

This month’s box includes a card that features an exclusive code for upcoming the Black Friday Sale. It’s the lowest price for a year of Gramma in a Box — only $190 for a full year (a $50 savings)! It brings the costs of each box down to just over $15 per box!

Also included in the box is a little welcoming note. This month’s box is all about Thanksgiving Theme Treats.

Flip the card and you’ll find a list of all the items in the box, as well as items you will need from your home.

Every month, 3 projects are included in the box. This month, we are going to do Turkey Buddies, Harvest Bark, and Fall Cookies. Each of the cards has step by step instructions with a few images.

At the back of each card, you can see the ingredients for each of the recipes, and they also feature the potential allergens.

This is the box upon opening! You just have to remember — no snacking on the craft supplies!

Everything in our November 2019 box!

First Project: Turkey Buddies. For the first project, we used melting chocolate, Ritz crackers, candy corn, pumpkin seeds, and candy eyes.

To melt the chocolate, you just need to put them in a microwave-safe bowl, heat in the microwave on high for 1 minute, stir with the spoon, and repeat for another 15 seconds until the chocolate is melted.

Once the chocolate is melted, carefully put a blob of melted choco on top of the cracker, spread it all over, and then place 3-4 pieces of candy corn on one part to make the turkey feathers.

Just below the candy corn, put a pair of candy eyes and pumpkin seed to form a super cute turkey face!

Repeat the process for the rest of the crackers, and there we have our own turkey cookies!

Second Project: Harvest Bark. For the second project, we used the remaining melted chocolate, plus candy corn, salted peanut, cinnamon cereals, and fall sprinkles.

Re-heat the remaining melted chocolate in the bowl for about 15 seconds then place half of the cereal into the melting chocolate, mix, and then carefully pour it on the wax paper and spread.

After spreading, put the peanuts, candy corn, and the rest of the cereal on top of the mixture and shower it with the chocolate sprinkles.

You can also place a bit of pressure on the toppings by simply pressing them to the mixture to make sure that they stick on the mixture when it dries-up.

Here’s how the Harvest Bark looks once completed! You can eat it as is, or break it into smaller pieces and share it with the whole family!

Third Project: Fall Cookies. For the last project, we used a variety of fall-themed cookies, orange, yellow, and brown frostings, and colored sugar sprinkles.

Unlike the first two projects, this one is a bit challenging since we’ll be using a variety of frostings and sugar sprinklings. Expect it to be a little messier than the first two projects, too!

My son immediately grabbed one cookie and decorated it using the orange-colored frosting.

It’s really ideal to start frosting on the edges of the cookies. It serves as the border to avoid or even reduce unnecessary overshooting.

Once done with the frosting of cookies, they sprinkled some sugar on top of it.

What we love about designing cookies is that we can be as creative as we want!

For this instance, my son even used a small stick to create a different design.

This activity surely brings out the creativity in kids! It’s one of the projects we really look forward to from Gramma in a Box!

Check out this super cute maple leaf showered with super sweet sugar coating by my daughter!

You can also use the excess sprinkle candies from the other projects.

Here are all of our finished Fall Cookies!

Gramma in a Box really rocks! They have consistently provided us with a variety of yummy and colorful edible projects, and this month wasn’t an exception. The projects are fun and kid-friendly, and they also make a great bonding time for our family. We’re looking forward to Thanksgiving and these Thanksgiving-themed treats made us even more excited! All in all, we love this box and we think it’s one of the most ideal subscriptions to help your kids unleash and enhance their creativity through edible crafts!

Don’t forget about their Black Friday Sale to get the lowest price for a year of Gramma in a Box — only $190 for a full year (a $50 savings). You can also subscribe with an auto-debit program for $20 a month!
