Butcher Box is a subscription box service that delivers premium quality meat for $129 per month. Each box comes with a selection of meat (about 15-20 meals worth) that has been carefully cut and prepared. The Butcher Box brings back that unique experience you get when you visit your local butcher shop. Their specialty is 100% grass-fed beef, but they also provided mixed subscription options. You can also have the box delivered every two or three months depending on your needs.

For this review, we’re featuring some of the dishes we made using our items from Butcher Box. This is different from our regular Butcher Box reviews!

First up, we’re using the Boneless Pork Butt from the July 2019 Pork and Beef Box to make pulled pork!

Pork Butt is meaty and juicy, so we love them marinated then grilled. This weighs around 5.5lbs, quite big enough to work on a pair of dishes.

After marinating the meat, we put it in the Instant Pot. It turned out really soft!

The next step is to shred the meat using forks, remove the fatty bits and excess fats off the surface, and then put more seasonings. This shredded pulled pork is also great for a quick snacking sandwich!

Next up is Grass-fed Beef Boneless Chuck Roast from June 2019 All Beef Box and we’re using it for pot roast with black garlic!

This portion of the beef features a boneless chunk of meat obtained from the lean and active muscle, which means it contains lesser fat but produces a ton of flavor.

For this dish, we used a bulb of black garlic that we got from Crate Chef!

What we did is a home-style pot roast, which includes vegetable oil, onion, garlic, seasonings, and of course the boneless chuck roast from Butcher Box!

We slow-cooked it in low heat, making it really tender and flavorful.

It’s so tender that it easily pulls apart when you use your fork. See all that juice? That’s from the beef itself. Even when you don’t add a lot of water, the beef produces its own juice that makes the dish deeply flavorful!

For our last featured recipe, we used Grass-fed Beef Sirloin Tips from the June 2019 All Beef Box for chili!

First, we chopped up the ingredients for the chili, including bell peppers and green onions.

Once all the ingredients are ready, we seared the sirloin tips over medium-high heat until it’s brown and tender. Then, we added the rest of the ingredients and simmered before serving it!

The meat is as tender and juicy as expected. This is such a hearty meal! You can also add some garnish on top for an appetizing look!

Butcher Box sends high-quality meat that can be cooked in a variety of ways, depending on your cravings or the occasion! This month, we made pulled pork, chuck roast, and chili, which all turned out tasty and satisfying for the whole family. We’re really happy that all the meats arrived in great condition, so nothing really goes to waste. Also, they’re free from any antibiotics or any added hormones that may cause harmful effects to the body. I’m truly satisfied and I’m excited to cook more dishes using Butcher Box meats!
