The box is filled to the brim. From here, we can already tell that it’s Halloween-themed!

This month’s theme is POKE-MONSTER NIGHT.

The booklet contains everything you need to know about the items inside the box. There’s also a message from the Tokyo Treat Crew and a QR code to activate your streak for your rewards.

Of course, there’s a list of the items we should be expecting in this month’s box.

This month’s featured snack is Pokemon Halloween Chocolate, and this month’s featured DIY candy is Strange Syrup!

Discover Japan page shares a bit of Japan’s local culture every month. This month, they’re teaching us about scary and spooky creatures from Japan!

There’s another QR code for a promo. You just have to scan it and leave reviews for a chance to win Kit Kats!

They even included a feature about Pikachu Ramune and the flavor of the month, Apple Pie Kit Kats!

Everything inside the box!

Mystery Treat. This month’s mystery treat includes three wafer cones and strawberry flavored cream. It’s sort of a DIY candy because you have to mix the cream yourself, but it’s fun to do and it’s yummy as well!

Strange Syrup. Speaking of DIY candy, this month’s featured one is the Strange Syrup. The kit comes with three packs of syrups in different colors: red, yellow, and blue. You just have to mix them on the tray using the plastic spatula. Mixing them creates a grape-flavored candy. Amazing, right?

Apple Pie Kit Kats. Limited edition KitKats are already a staple in Tokyo Treat boxes. This month, we’re getting a whole pack of them in Apple Pie variant! We’re surprised to see that the coating of the wafers are purplish, but they do taste like a creamier version of an apple pie. They’re great for sharing as well.

Pokemon Ramune. Ramune is a carbonated soft drink popular in Japan. To make it even more special, they packed it in a cute Pokemon-inspired packaging. The drink is light and refreshing, perfect to quench your thirst on a hot day. It’s also best served chilled.

Pikachu Gummies. Here’s another Pokemon-inspired snack, which is a pack of grape gummies! Each piece is chewy and bursting with so much flavor, leaving our tastebuds delighted. They are fruity and sweet at the same time.

Pokemon Halloween Chocolate. They gave our favorite pocket monster, Pikachu, a Halloween twist in this chocolate snack! Each bite-sized piece is shaped like Pikachu’s head. They’re also puffy, sweet, and really chocolatey!

Halloween Brown Sugar Sweets. There’s nothing scary about this snack! It’s a snack bar coated with brown sugar, making it sweet and 100% irresistible.

Poteco Pumpkin Gratin. We got 10 small pouches of this Halloween-themed snack! They’re bite-sized and ring-shaped, and the best thing is that they’re pumpkin gratin flavored, which is a bit sweet and a bit salty. These snacks are great for sharing, or even when snacking by yourself while watching horror movies on Halloween!

Pokemon Cola Chewing Candy. The Pokemon fever is not yet over! We also got chewing gums, with each strip featuring a Pokemon character like Charizard, Meowth, and Snorlax. They’re all cola-flavored, so they’re sweet and refreshing in the mouth!

Blue Green Soda Gum. These are not your ordinary gums! They’re chewy and flavorful, and they give your tongue either a blue or green color. Each pack contains 10 pieces of gum.

ZomB Grape Gum. There’s another pack of Halloween-themed gum, and this time they make your tongue blue! The packaging might be spooky but we really had fun munching on the grape-flavored gum. They’re sour as well, but that’s not a problem at all because we love sour candies!

Halloween Milk Senbei. It’s a soft biscuit made with milk, making it creamy and really tasty. The cracker is also light and crunchy. If you’re looking for a great partner for tea, this is it!

Halloween Pizza Corn Snacks. These round corn snacks are light, fluffy, and definitely delicious. They’re pizza-flavored, so they’re quite savory and not salty at all. We loved munching on these! Also great with soda!

Disappearing Tastes?! Mixed Gums. Here’s another unique snack, a pack of gummy candies in different flavors! The back of the packaging features different flavor combinations that produce an entirely new flavor. For example, if you mix two strawberry flavored gummies with a green grape-flavored gummy candy, you’ll get a raspberry flavor! It’s not just yummy, but exciting as well!

Squid Legs. These aren’t made with actual squid legs, but they sure taste like squid with a savory flavor. If you like seafood snacks, this one is for you. Each piece is crunchy and the flavors are strong.

Corn Potage Umaibo. Umaibo is another Tokyo Treat staple. We got one of the classic flavors, corn potage, in a Halloween-themed packaging. This tastes savory and creamy at the same time, similar to a sweet corn soup.

Bloody Cola Marshmallow. These marshmallows have a spooky twist, because of the sweet cola flavor in the middle that looks like blood. Don’t let it fool you though, they’re really yummy!

Trick or treat season is upon us and we got even more excited because of this box full of tasty and spooky treats! Ranging from candies and gummies to crackers and biscuits, they give us plenty of variety to satisfy our different cravings and also to share with our friends or family. KitKat limited-edition flavors, umaibo, and DIY candies are some of our most awaited items every month. They’ve never disappointed us so far, we always have a good time just trying out this big box of goodies. If you’re looking to try a Japanese snack subscription that sends the best and most unique local goodies, this subscription is a perfect match!
