I received a card reminding me that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The shipping mailer and scent holder also reflected this fact by displaying a pink ribbon on both.
I received a card with the scent of the month and its main fragrance notes.
The back of the card listed the men’s cologne of the month.
Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Eau De Toilette ($102 for 100 ml, or buy a 7.5ml rollerball for $29) I always receive the scent of the month and I can’t say that they really go with the season because this screams summer in a bottle. I’ve never owned a bottle of Light Blue but have some of its flankers and at first spritz this one smells like fresh made lemonade! It’s a floral fruity with notes of lemon, cedar, amber, and musk. The only thing I am picking up is lemon, and it’s sweet lemon at that. The longevity and projection are both low but for summer that’s not a bad thing, spray on as often as you like. You can wear this to work or wherever, it’s a clean scent. I’m going to stash it away until April.
Scent Box perfumes come in a new case every month and the perfume is always listed on the bottom of the case.
Twist the container to expose the sprayer.
You can remove the scent vial to see how much product is left.
I really enjoyed my October scent of the month from Scent Box, although I am ready for heavier scents and this one was better suited to warmer weather. Other than that, I am excited to finally own my own bottle of this popular fragrance. I liked the pink ribbon on the case and the reminder about one of the bigger killers of women. The value for this month’s scent is pretty good too, considering a smaller rollerball than this sells for about twice as much at Sephora.
