Lootaku is a monthly geek subscription box from Hong Kong packed with high-quality geek and gamer items. The subscription costs $49.00 per month + shipping (currently about $17 to the US), and you’ll get 4-6 themed products, like plushies, action figures, memorabilia, etc., to satisfy your geeky cravings monthly – no fillers or promo items!

DEAL: Save 5% when you use this link and code DISCOUNT5.

The one who finds this chest shall be granted treasures of unimaginable value.

I like how the outside of the box is designed like a chest!

The sides are sealed with a sticker to ensure it won’t open during shipping!

I am so excited to see all of this month’s items, and the contents are all protectively packaged.

The theme this month is ROBO INVASION. The item information card, or Loot Table, is thick and glossy. It contains lots of details! When there are variations, it typically lists each possible variation you might receive.

There’s also a note that says that this month’s pin is missing due to manufacturing issues. The pins are being remade and will be finished in roughly 2 weeks from the time they released the note. They also promised that once the pins are received, they will immediately ship them out to subscribers.

All the goodies inside the September 2019 Lootaku Box!

Macross x Akira T-Shirt ($20) This month’s shirt features a cross-over of Macross and Akira!

It’s a cool play of the Macross ship and the Akira theatrical poster. Instead of the biker and a motorbike, the shirt design shows a pilot walking towards a ship, and instead of the word “AKIRA”, it shows “MACROSS” overlapped by Japanese characters.

On the lower left is a mark that makes the shirt limited edition and special. I got the 284th shirt made out of the only 420 produced!

Mazinger Z Lootaku Exclusive Fleece Blanket ($15) The image on this blanket looks more like a 3D design and not just an image from the manga or anime. It looks more realistic!

Under the robot’s head is the name of the series, Mazinger Z, in simple white font.

The fleece blanket is soft and comfy, and it’s huge! Fan or not, I know this is going to be useful, especially that the colder days are just around the corner.

FW Gundam Converge ($16) Subscribers will get one of these six figures from the Gundam Converge #15 series: Narrative Gundam C-Packs, Gundam X, Gundam X Divider, Bertigo, Gundam RX-F91, and Char Custom Z’Gok.

I got the Char’s Custom Z’Gok!

The figure consists of 6 easy-to-assemble pieces!

In the series, this is the commander type with a higher reactor output, better vulnerability, and better change in armor materials.

The details look awesome. It even comes with a base, so you can easily prop it up for display.

RX-78-2 Gundam Figure ($25) There’s another figure in this box, and this time it’s RX-78-2, also known as White Mobile Suit Gundam, or simply Gundam.

The figure arrived in a nice giftable box that has pictures of what figure you are getting!

First look, I thought the other half of the figure is missing! The figure even comes with a base that celebrates the series’ 40th anniversary!

The RX-78-2 Gundam (aka the Gundam or White Mobile Suit) is the titular mobile suit of Mobile Suit Gundam anime. Part of the RX-78 Gundam series, it was built in secret on Side 7. The Gundam would turn the tide of war in favor of the Earth Federation during the One Year War against the Principality of Zeon. The unit was primarily piloted by the series’ main protagonist Amuro Ray.

I actually like the transparent another half, which is giving us a peek on what’s inside the mobile suit. I wish it lights up, that would be awesome!

If you’re into mecha anime or series, this box is definitely a must-have for you! One of the popular genre when it comes to Japanese anime and manga series is about robots. I love the Gundam figures, the nice and comfy cross-over shirt, and the Mazinger Z blanket that I will be needing to combat the colder days. I just hope to get the pin as soon as possible, I believe it’s another precious piece from this awesome geek box!
