Loot Anime’s theme this month is NEW BEGINNINGS.
Some of the items came in individual boxes.
The box is Fruits Basket themed, and I am really excited!
The box can invert into this purple one with the theme written on the flap!
It shows some of the characters from Fruits Basket, starting from the main protagonist Tohru Honda, and some of the members of the Sohma family, with their specific animal forms.
There’s promotional material for the Blu-Ray and DVD copy of Detective Pikachu.

This month’s box also includes a poster that features Fruits Basket!
The back of the poster serves as the information sheet. It lists all the anime goodies in this box.
Everything in the April 2019 crate!
Fruits Basket Buttons. I got the three Sohma’s as pins, along with their animal counterparts. Among the three, my favorite is the rat, Yuki, while I also admire the dog Shigure, and the Kyo the cat!
The Soma family members are possessed with the animals of the Chinese Zodiac. Whenever they experience stress, weakness, being embarrassed, or being hugged by the opposite sex, they turn into the animal that possesses them. The cat is not really included in the Chinese Zodiac, but if the rat hadn’t tricked him during the induction, he might be included in the magic 12!
Yume Notebook. I got a cute notebook and the cover features this box’s mascot, Yume!
The pages of the notebook are thicker than usual. Also, the pages are blank, except for a border.
There’s also a purple kitty gracing the pages. It winks at you from the bottom right part of the page!
Godzilla Plush. Subscribers willget a Godzilla Plush or an Anti-Magic Academy scarf for the Past Loot Crate items! And I got the plushie!
The Godzilla plushie is really cute and fluffy, and it’s in blue because it’s inspired by the devastating atomic breath from the monster which glows in a vibrant blue before destruction. It’s made by Kidrobot, and that makes it more awesome! It can also be found in the June 2018 Loot Crate and April 2019 Loot Crate DX!
Fruits Basket T-Shirt. Another Furuba item in this box is this rad gray tee! I actually love the colors on this one, especially the purple and pink alternating colors of the word Fruits Basket.
The shirt features Tohru with Kyo, Yuki, and Shigure on their animal forms! It’s nice that even if the Somas are affected by a curse, they started to warm up with the orphan Tohru and have a great friendship with her.
This is certainly a box of NEW BEGINNINGS as it features the anime/manga Fruits Basket, which shows a great new start for the characters, especially for the orphaned Tohru, who found a new family in the Somas. I really like the shirt and the pins that feature the three guys from the series, and their equally cute animal forms! It’s my third time to get the Godzilla plushie, though. We are hoping for New Beginnings from Loot Crate too, but they really do still have a lot of catching up to do.
