This is a review of the Premium box!

This month, the snacks came in a purple box instead of their usual bright red box.

There are LOTS of snacks in this box!

The box also includes an information booklet.

Inside the booklet is a chart of contents that lists all the snacks from three different box sizes. There are 3 different subscription levels available: The Mini includes 5 items, the Original includes those items PLUS another 5 items, and the Premium includes those 10 items PLUS another 5 items.

The tiers are cumulative, so our Premium Box has everything on the page!

This booklet also includes food and some cultural information about Japan.

The bottom of the box even features cute manga-inspired illustrations!

Everything in my October 2019 box!

Peanut Chocoball Halloween Pack. We just got more excited about Halloween and trick-or-treat events because of this pack of Halloween-themed chocolate balls! Inside are 7 smaller pouches that you can share with friends or give out as treats during treat-or-trick. Each ball is made with delectable milk chocolate coating with wafer-like inner coating and a crunchy roasted peanut in the middle. It’s the perfect mix of nutty and chocolatey!

Donguri Gum. This soda-flavored candy feels refreshing in the mouth! It has a hard outer shell and a sweet chewy gum at the center.

Cola Ball. Who would’ve thought cola and jelly would be perfect for each other? This treat is loved in Japan, and I now I know why. This jelly is soft and smooth, with the refreshing and slightly sweet cola flavor bursting in every chew!

Grape Soda Gummy. The grape flavor in this chewy candy is so addicting. Its taste is so natural, just like the real deal, and the shower of sugar provides additional sweetness all over!

Strawberry Soft. It’s a delectable marshmallow-type treat that features a scrumptious flavor like a strawberry shortcake. Too bad we only got one piece!

Japanese Chesnut Mont Blanc Caramel Corn. Chestnut is one of the most popular fall snacks in Japan and this time they turned it into a limited-edition flavor for Tohato’s caramel corn snacks. Just like the previous versions we’ve tried, the puffs were light and airy. As for the chestnut flavor, it’s sweet and tasty, just like an actual dessert!

Dengeki Hunter Soft Candy. We got a pack of DIY candy called Unagi Hunting Confectionery. Unagi is a Japanese word for freshwater eel. Featured on the back part of the pack is a simple yet detailed step-by-step procedure for this DIY kit. Simply put the unagi-shaped candy on the plastic container and then pour the sauce on top of it to make your own confectionery!

Natto Umaibo. Umaibo is a staple in most Japanese snack boxes and we still can’t get enough of them! This month’s version features natto flavor, inspired by the traditional Japanese food made from soybeans, mustard, soy sauce, and onion. It offers a satisfying crunch with rich savory taste!

Sumikko Gurashi Gum. This gum features a cute Sumikko Gurashi-themed wrapper! I love its unique yogurt flavor, plus it’s soft, chewy, juicy, and long-lasting!

Halloween Pero Pero Konpeito. Here’s another Halloween-themed treat, and this time it features star-shaped sugar candies infused with a refreshing grape flavor. This one’s a hit with kids!

Takenoko No Sato Strawberry Shortcake. This popular Japanese snack has an appetizing shortcake cookie base with sweet strawberry toppings. It’s a limited-edition flavor because their regular toppings are made from chocolate. I’m really glad I was able to get to taste these strawberry-shortcake flavored ones!

Fruits Monster Rainbow. Not all monsters are scary, some of them brings rainbows, sweetness, and smiles to your face like this monster candy! If you’re a fan of sour candy belts, this one’s for you. It’s chewy and packed with so much fruity flavor.

Halloween Disney Character Chocolate. We got 4 individually-wrapped pieces of special Halloween-edition Disney character chocolates made from creamy milk chocolate. They were packed in a cute box featuring Minnie and Mickey in costumes. The coin-shaped chocolates feature Chip, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and Stitch, respectively! They’re too cute to be eaten but once we had a bite, we wanted more and more. Everything’s sweet and yummy!

Lovely Halloween Chocolate Pocky. We got another Halloween-edition snack in our box, and it’s from Pocky! It contains the usual crunchy and tasty cookie biscuits and this time it’s dipped with creamy milk chocolate coating.

Pokemon Halloween Party Pack Chocolate. More Halloween-inspired snacks! These special edition chocolate puff snacks are shaped like Pikachu’s head. Each piece is crunchy and tasty. We munched on them straight out of the bag, but you may also mix it with milk or use as a sprinkle for dessert.

Halloween Chocolate Bat. It’s a baseball bat-shaped, crispy, and crunchy snack covered with luscious milk chocolate coating. It’s a great snack to fulfill one’s sweet tooth cravings!

Apple Pie Kit Kat. These limited edition KitKats in apple pie flavor are this month’s bonus item! Inside the bag are a dozen pieces of individually packed KitKat. The coating of the wafers is purplish and they taste really good, like a creamier version of a real apple pie.

Lipton Caramel Milk Tea. For fans of milk tea, this ready-to-drink milk tea in a bottle is a must-try. It contains more caramel than I have imagined, so it’s really sweet!

This month’s box is filled with treats, definitely not tricks! The Halloween-themed snacks are all fun and tasty, and most of them were a hit with my kids as well. There’s a nice variety of chocolates, candies, and sweets, plus cookies and chips. The pack of bonus KitKats is definitely our favorite. It’s not everyday we get to taste apple pie flavored KitKats so we really enjoyed every bite. If you have a family like us who loves snacks with exceptional flavors, this subscription is exactly what you need!
