Amazon STEM Toy Club is a monthly subscription box service that delivers age-appropriate STEM toy that encourages any child to learn through play. The subscription costs $19.99 per month, and the theme of the month can be anything from natural sciences to robotics. There’s always something new to discover in every box of Amazon STEM Toy Club!

There are three age ranges available for this box: 3-4 year old, 5-7 year old, and 8-13-year-olds. This is a review of the 3-4-year-old box.

The subscription doesn’t include any Amazon-generated introductory materials – just the toy in its commercial packaging. It arrives in the usual Amazon shipping materials – multiple age range selections usually ship together.

In case you’re wondering what’s included in the other subscriptions, here’s what they were for our family:

Magformers Curve Educational Magnetic Geometric Shapes Tiles Building STEM Toy ($31.45) It’s a 20-piece set of curved-shaped, colorful, interconnecting, 3D magnetic tiles that can be built in a variety of ways.

The kit includes a Magformers Model Booklet and 20 pieces of colorful magnetic curve set.

The booklet gives you all the information you need to know about the toy, including some basic models.

According to the booklet, the curve sets are available in 20’s, 40’s, and set of 50’s.

This booklet also provides the composition for each set.

Featured on this part of the booklet are some of the exclusive models you can build.

Every model includes the name, type of curve set needed, basic set line, and the composition. Unfortunately, most of the models here are for a set of 40’s and a set of 50’s.

The set of 20 is composed of 4 blue squares, 4 green arches, 8 orange sectors, and 4 yellow cones. Each tile is also made from premium quality,  BPA-free plastic, making it very durable and safe to use especially for kids 3 and up.

All geometric shapes also contain a Neodymium Rare-Earth magnet that features a property that always connects and never rejects, so you’ll surely hear a clicking sound for each time you connect the tiles.

One of the figures we made is a circus-shaped tent made from 8 interconnecting tiles, consisting of 4 arches and 4 cones.

My son also made an igloo-type shelter using another 4 arches and 4 sector type tiles.

Since all these tiles are made with a built-in magnet, you can easily connect each building to form a bigger one. There are so many possibilities with this toy, making it more exciting for us!

This month’s featured STEM toy is definitely a great activity for my kids since they can create as far as their imagination can go! This set of magnetic tiles also helps enhance their analytical skills, as well as their color and shape recognition, fine motor skills, and problem-solving skills. I also appreciate the inclusion of the booklet. It was really a good way to start and it gave a lot of great ideas for my kids to work on. We are so happy with this month’s toy and definitely looking forward to more fun ones in future boxes!
