The sticker on the box gives us a clue about what country is featured this month! This time, the sticker says “The birthplace of democracy!”

This month, the snacks we received are from Greece!

There’s a card that features a map of Greece, along with a brief description of what each town and island in the country is famous for.

At the back, they even included fun activities, like The Official Yum Awards, a puzzle, and Morra, an ancient Greek guessing game.

The puzzle is exciting! The booklet is needed to help solve this one.

Here’s the awesome booklet that contains a brief history of the featured country and the snacks inside the box.

They even provided a clue for next month’s box!

This booklet makes the snacking experience even more exciting! It helps us get to know more about Greece, their local culture, and even a bit about their language.

Another feature is a trivia quiz, still all about the featured country.

Each snack comes with a photo and a long description in the booklet!

They even included some trivia or history about the snack and how might taste!

We loved reading this before taking a bite on this month’s yums!

Of course, we can’t talk about Greece without mentioning Greek gods and goddesses!

The booklet even shared a recipe for Greek Flatbread Pizza.

There’s a promotional card for Universal Yum’s Halloween Box.

It lists what you can expect from the Halloween Box and how to purchase.

Everything in my box!

Yum Bag. This box includes a Yum Bag, which includes candies or other small treats from the featured country!

As we’re searching the world each month for the best Yums to bring you, we often stumble on smaller finds that are big on crazy flavor, but small in size. This bag is loaded with those discoveries. Inside this bag, there will be some Yums that you’ll wish there were more of, and others that you’ll wish we never found! But that’s all a part of the fun!

Frugeli Pomegranate Jelly. An ancient Greek myth tells that pomegranate is a forbidden fruit in the underworld, but at present times, it’s considered lucky in Greece and often given out on special occasions like weddings and housewarming parties. We got them in jelly candy form, and we definitely felt lucky because they taste so good! The candies are fruity and juicy, each chew was bursting with refreshing flavors.

Kokos Ouzo. These hard candies are inspired by a famous Greek drink, a strong grape brandy to be specific. But don’t worry, they’re alcohol-free. Their taste is similar to licorice.

Kokos Honey Toffee. Sweet candy at its finest! In ancient Greece, there is a belief that honey made gods immortal. We might never get that benefit from these honey-flavored chews, but the fact that they are so tasty is enough!

These candies have very different and contrasting tastes, but I loved them all! It’s great that they came in several pieces, so we can share with others.

Tottis Chips Oregano. Greek potato chips are on another level! They flavored the light and crunchy potato snack with oregano, making it more aromatic and with earthy and slightly minty tasting notes.

Bruschettini Pizza. All the yummy flavors of pizza rolled into a bite-sized piece of bruschetta toast! Cheese, tomato, and basil seasonings melt in your mouth, while the bread itself is light and crunchy. How satisfying. It tastes wonderful when eaten out of the bag, but you can also use it as a topping for a soup or salad.

Kritsinaki Pesto Basil. Here’s another bread snack with an extraordinary Greek flavor composed of basil and pesto! It smells good and tastes good, snacking on it is such a delight. The breadsticks are also bite-sized, so you can easily munch on them even when on the go. It’s a fantastic snack, especially for fans of pesto!

Tsuorekaki With Cocoa Cream. It’s a sweet bread with chocolate cream, a popular snack served in Greece during the holidays. Good thing, we don’t have to wait for the holidays to be able to taste it! The bread is moist, and cream is so rich. It’s also quite filling, so it’s perfect as a breakfast snack.

Moustokoulouro. Grape must, the star in this delicious cookie snack, is made with freshly pressed juice, skins, seeds, and stems of the grape. It has a distinct taste which reminds me of wine. The bread itself is soft and sweet, with a hint of cinnamon. It’s the perfect pair with your favorite hot beverage.

Kings Soft Cookie With Dark Chocolate Chunks. It’s a decadent soft cookie made with cocoa and dark Belgian chocolate pieces, plus a bit of salt and vanilla. Rich and delicious, each bite melts in the mouth. Also, it tastes better when warm!

Minos Nut Bar Peanut & Honey. Peanut and honey is seriously one of the best combinations you can put in one snack bar. This one is satisfyingly crunchy and nutty, with just the right amount of sweetness. Since it comes in a small and easy to carry packaging, it also makes a tasty and filling on-the-go snack.

Oriental Saragli. It’s not a Greek snack experience without baklava! In this box, we’re getting saragli, a baklava variety that features buttery syrup, almonds, and walnuts in a flaky roll of dough instead of the usual layered form. It a great snack for anyone who craves something sweet and nutty!

Serenata Finger. Wafers are believed to have originated from Greece, so it’s just right to have one in the box. This contains four layers of crispy wafers with delicious cocoa cream in between, and a milk chocolate coating and drizzle. It does taste premium, and I wish we had more of these!

Serenata Triplo Hazelnut. In ancient Greece, hazelnuts were popular because of their medicinal properties. Today, they are popular in chocolate snacks because they make everything taste so much better with their nutty and earthy flavors. This snack bar contains actual pieces of hazelnuts wrapped in chocolate cream and coated with milk chocolate. It also comes with a crunchy wafer at the bottom. It fulfilled my sweet tooth cravings easily!

It really felt like we came from a Greece trip with all of these amazing Greek snacks. We even learned a bit about their history through the informative booklet. It seems that cookies and bread are popular in Greece, and I love how they came up with all sorts of flavors and fillings to make each one delicious and unique. We’re definitely happy with this box and we can’t wait to try more international snacks through this subscription. If you are an adventurous snacker like us, this one is definitely one of the snack boxes you must try!

I love Universal Yums! Its an interesting and fun way to try snacks from other countries. And if for any reason you need to skip a month (or more) its very easy to do so. And if anything happens to your yums like theyre missing or damaged the company is VERY accommodating about fixing the issue which is nice when some of our yums went missing. They replaced them right away! LOVE UNIVERSAL YUMS!!!
