It is the box’s goal to create a safe outlet for kids to develop their curiosity and critical thinking, open their minds to new ideas and express themselves freely. It includes puzzles, games, experiments, and recipes that are of high quality and safe.

The box is personally addressed to the children with everything you need like the materials, instructions, and magazine.

It is designed to fit the needs of the UK Royal mail – but in the cutest little flat box! You know this one is really going to grab and go!

Every box includes colorful stickers. For this month, we got stickers related to the box’s theme!

Everything in the box!

Every box includes a magazine for kids.

As always, it’s fun and colorful!

There are lots of activities in the booklet! For this one, the kids just have to fill the blanks and then draw their favorite toy.

The STEAM Team takes us on a new adventure, and they need a bit of help in finding identical flowers!

Next up is a fun maze.

Al from the STEAM Team found that the insects aren’t scary!

The next activity is all about fingerprint art.

They even included a suggested craft activity called Eco Habitat. For this, you’ll need the toucanBox, scissors, plastic bottle, markers, and paper.

There’s also a suggested experiment, entitled Fluorescent Flowers. For this, you’ll need white flowers, food coloring, jars, water, and scissors.

Here’s a hint for the next box!

Here comes the sun! Celebrate the new season with an action-packed summer spectacular!

Here are two cute stickers relating to the crafting activities!

The projects for this month are Raccoon Outfit and Children’s Day Carp & Cherry Blossoms.

Activity #1: Raccoon Outfit. For this project, we used the sticky foam strips, yellow ribbon, sock, elastic, foam mask and ears, sticky back felt pieces, and sticky back foam pieces.

According to the booklet, this activity needs a bit of grown-up assistance.

This project takes a number of simple yet detailed steps to complete it. Inspired by the project, the booklet also features a matching activity!

The first step is to form the mask by putting the ears on the foam mask using sticky foam strips. Then, complete the look by sticking the eye mask, white eyebrows, and inner ear pieces. For the next step, just tie the elastic on the pre-cut holes. After finishing the mask, we made the raccoon tail using the sock. You just have to attach the ribbon near the cuffs using a sticky foam strip and then add the felt stripes.

It’s a great activity, and our only complaint is that the black felt stickers wouldn’t come off the sheet.

Activity #2: Children’s Day Carp & Cherry Blossoms. The second activity is divided into two crafts: the carp and the cherry blossoms paper. They provided all the needed items and we only need scissors from home.

We’re starting with the Children’s Day Carp and we used the fish template, shiny paper, sticky back eyes, lolly stick, foam circle and heart, and glue pen. This activity requires only a little grown-up assistance. Some drying time is also needed.

First, we bent the “scales” of the two templates and then attached the shiny paper on the scales. Then, we glued the lolly stick on both templates, as well as the heart that will serve as the carp’s mouth. Glue templates together, add the wiggly eyes, and the carp is good to go!

Now, we’re doing the cherry blossoms! We used lolly sticks, pipe cleaner, paint dabber, double stick tape, paint, and paper.

The first step is to add double stick tape to each end of the two sticks and attach the pipe cleaner on just one stick. Then, attach the stick with the pipe cleaner on top of the paper and the plain stick on the bottom. The last step is to paint branches and cherry blossoms on the paper.

toucanBox always does a great job comes to enhancing my kids’ creativity. The craft projects are fun and kid-friendly, and there’s also an engaging booklet packed with on-page activities and other supplemental information. Most of the materials needed are already included in the kit, so we can work right away after reading the instruction sheet. It was a bummer we couldn’t totally complete the crafts, but we made do.
