Every month I try to guess what scent will be featured based on the sticker that’s placed on the outside of the box (see previous picture). I was pretty sure those lovely purple flowers were lavender!
Everything was tucked into shredded paper squiggles.
I found a card that announced the August theme, Lovely Lavender. I guessed correctly!
The back of the card gave a little intro to this month’s theme.
Next was an insert on the products.
The insert gave a little info for each item, its MSRP, and listed a website in case you need more.
Everything in my August 2019 NOSEJOY box! The items not only smell good, they are also pretty to look at and fun to use. It’s no secret that this is one of my favorite subscription boxes!
La Lavande Lavender Shower Gel + Foam Bath ($10.95) Two-in-one products are a great idea and I appreciate that this gel can be used to create bubbles in the bath or bubbles on my mesh sponge, which is exactly how I used it. I think lavender falls into two scent categories – real or perfumey, and this gel falls under the perfumey side.
I was so happy to see a list on ingredients in the box, which is helpful since they are not on the website or bottle. This gel lathered up well and rinsed cleanly away without leaving my body perfumed, but it smelled good for the length of my shower!
My Manoa Lavender Laundry Detergent ($2.80) I adore that NOSEJOY sends unusual items for subscribers to enjoy, like this laundry detergent. How many subscriptions send laundry detergent? Not many, so this is such a neat item to receive.
Ingredients were listed and this falls under the “natural” category for scent, thanks to essential oils. It got the job done!
Natural Inspirations Lavender Ylang Foot Balm ($15) I love foot balms and the like but so many of them have uplifting peppermint oil, which I love but don’t necessarily want to use before going to bed. A lavender foot balm on the other hand is a great idea, since lavender is considered relaxing.
Ingredients were listed on the container and include coconut oil, beeswax, and shea butter. I think this also falls under “perfumey” scent wise, like a nice floral.
It was really easy to use, I just rubbed it all over my feet before bed! If you use it on the bottoms of feet then please be careful so you don’t slip and fall, or you can always cover up with a pair of socks.
Permanent Baggage Leather Lavender Mountain Sachet ($16 listed value) Have you ever heard of a leather mountain sachet before? Me neither!
It’s a piece of lavender-colored (of course!) leather filled with real lavender and you can crush the whole thing in your hands like a stress ball to release the scent of the flowers.
NOSEJOY sent a diverse assortment of products for the August box and that is one of the things I appreciate about them, I never know what I’m going to get! I always know that whatever comes in the box, it will smell wonderful and this month was no exception. NOSEJOY sends an array of natural and traditional products and I believe most, if not all, of these brands were new to me! The value for the August box was around $44.75!
