Ipsy is a monthly beauty subscription that sends five makeup, beauty, skincare, and hair care items in a cute bag for $12 a month! It’s the most popular subscription box and a great way to sample new colors and beauty brands. Products are curated to your beauty profile, although don’t be surprised if you receive a bold choice – Ipsy wants you to move beyond your comfort zone!

There are many bag variations every month for Ipsy – login to your account to check out how-to videos and tips for your products. They’ve also started emailing out product information and tips from their influencers!

NOTE: Recently Ipsy increased their price to $12 a month and have stated that every subscriber will be able to choose a product for their bag so make sure to sign in to your account around September 24th to choose an item for October! You can also add up to 5 add-ons to your bag.

Ipsy September 2019 Glam Bag The bag is so cute! This one is a pretty rose pink shade on one side.

The other side features constellations!

There is a “crystal” zipper pull.

The inside is lined with midnight blue fabric. So pretty!

This month’s theme is FIND YOUR LIGHT!

The inside of the card lists my products and has a tip for each one.

At the back is a breakdown of the changes happening this month for the October bag!

Everything in my September 2019 bag! One item was wrapped in bubble wrap to keep it from breaking and my makeup brush was placed inside the mailing envelope so if you think you are missing an item, check there first!

OFRA Cosmetics OFRA x Madison Sweet Stuff Blush ($20.30) Some subscribers have had the ability to choose a product and this blush was my choice (all subscribers will have this choice starting with the October bag). It is a huge pan and should last for a while!

The shade is described as “dusty pink nude” and I thought it added a bright pop of color to my cheeks and it was pretty easy to apply.

Love Craft Beauty Bronzer in Sunniva ($13?) is part of a trio so I had to guess its value.

It came in a mirrored compact so it can be applied on the go. The shade Sunniva is described as “warm tan tone”.

It was a little dark for my skin tone but it was pretty easy to apply. In fact, a lot of product was on the brush head when I ran it over the pan and I had to tap it off before putting it on my cheeks.

Coloured Raine Cosmetics Eyeshadow in Champagne Life ($6.99) I am in need of a neutral base and this one just about hits all of my requirements!

I applied it both with a primer and without and I don’t think it made much difference. The finish is foil and it didn’t cover my entire eyelid but then I would probably blind people with my brightness if it did all that.

I think my everyday look requires a little less shimmer but this is perfect for adding a pop of shine to the inner corners of my eyes or all over my lid for a special evening out.

Here are my makeup items swatched on my inner arm. The blush is on top, bronzer in the middle, and eye shadow on the bottom.

F.A.R.A.H. Brushes Contour 218M in Midnight Blue ($18) I believe this is my first ever F.A.R.A.H brush so I may need to try a few more before I make a pronouncement on the overall quality of their brushes. I liked the soft touch handle and the vegan bristles are midnight blue!

I prefer something a little more compact for applying contour but when I pinched the bristles together it worked better for my needs than if I used it the way it was designed. It picked up a lot of product and I’m not sure if that is the brush’s fault or if the contour (shown earlier in this review) was just super soft. In the end it worked fine!

Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair! Strength + Moisture Leave-in Mask ($4.37) is a leave-in conditioner that smells really nice and helps keep hair from breaking while repairing damage from earlier abuse. Just spritz a couple times onto clean, damp hair and style as usual!

I was pretty pleased with the products I received in my September Ipsy Glam Bag! I have already put the bag to use in my purse and have enjoyed using my new makeup brush and products all week long. These are products that will last me for several months and I will actually use them so I think it’s a bargain at $12. In return I received items worth about $62.66! I rated my products on the Ipsy website and in return I earned points, which accumulate and can be used towards even more products. Yay!
