<DEAL:  Get $5 off when you signup for a 3 month or longer plan! Use coupon code 5OFF.

The items arrived in a red box with a Gramma in a Box sticker.

The kit shows up bundled neatly together under some cute red polka dots tissue. It is secured using another Gramma In A Box sticker.

All the items come in separate plastic containers.

Also included in the box is a little welcoming note. This month’s box is all about Back-To-School Treats.

Flip the card and you’ll find a list of all the items in the box, as well as items you will need from your home.

Every month, 3 projects are included in the box. This month, we are going to do a Wafer Pencils, Teacher’s Apples, and Back-To-School Cookies. Each of the cards has step by step instructions with a few images.

At the back of each card, you can see the ingredients for each of the recipes, and they also include the potential allergens.

This is the box upon opening! You just have to remember — no snacking on the craft supplies!

Everything in our September 2019 box!

First Project: Wafer Pencils. For the first project, we used the melting chocolate, wafer cookies, red sanding sugar, and chocolate chips.

The first step is to melt the white chocolates using the microwave, and then pour it on both ends of the wafer. Afterward, sprinkle the square end with the red sanding sugar and place a piece of chocolate chip on the pointed end.

They do look like wafer pencils! The red sanding on the bottom looks like the eraser while the chocolate chip looks like the pencil’s point!

Second Project: Teacher’s Apples. For the second project, we used marshmallows, pretzel bits rods, melted chocolate, candy leaves, and red sprinkles.

First, you need to poke the straw in the middle of the marshmallow and carefully roll it in the white chocolate until it is covered fully. Remove the straw and then sprinkle the marshmallow using the red sprinkles. Place the pretzel bit on top of the mallow and add the candy leaf for decoration!

Third Project: Back-To-School Cookies. For our last project, we used sugar cookies, frosting, sanding sugar, sprinkles, and rainbow jimmies.

For this, we filled the top of each sweet cookie with the melted white chocolate and designed it using the colored frostings. You can also add sugar sanding, sprinkles, and colorful jimmies on top for an extra kick of sweetness!

Everything looks so delicious and we’re very excited to dig in!

Gramma In A Box is once again filled with fun, edible projects that my kids love! It gives us a good reason to bond and just have fun together. My kids certainly enjoy decorating their own cookies. They get so creative as they come up with their own designs. After doing the projects, we also love munching on the finished products. Nothing really goes to waste in this box. It’s definitely an ideal subscription to help kids enhance their creativity and for them to learn how to follow instructions. We are very excited to see what’s in our upcoming boxes!
