Here’s a list of all the items inside the box!

All the meats are vacuum-sealed in plastic, packed in an insulated bag, and then kept frozen within the outer soft-side cooler padding and box with a large dry ice pack.

We’ve always had everything arrive rock-solid, so there have been no issues with temperature control during shipping. The meat arrives ready to throw in the freezer or thaw for use.

The flap of the box indicates a checklist, so you’ll know what to do with the contents when it arrives!

Everything in my box!

Here are all of our choices!

This box includes an extra pack of chicken wings and ground beef as add-on items.

Chicken Wings. There are 7-10 pieces of organic chicken wings in each pack! We got 3 packs, so that’s a lot!

These wings are USDA organic and non-GMO. They are also carefully inspected by the International Certification Services, Inc. No added hormones or antibiotics either!

Ground Beef. Ground beef is a monthly staple in our box! These are ideal for making burger patties because of their juiciness and meatiness.

Since they only produce a little liquid when cooked and doesn’t flare up when grilled, these ground beef are also great for casseroles!

According to the label, the meat is 100% grass-fed and finished without added hormones or antibiotics. Also, it is consists of 85% lean meat and 15% fat.

Beef Top Sirloin Cap. This part of the beef is also known as picanha. It’s a cut of meat that is taken from the top of the backside part of the cow.

Sirloin cap is a triangular cut with a nice layer of fat. It’s so tender, it makes an ideal meat for grilling or roasting!

Beef Tri-Tips. This part of the beef is also known as a triangle steak or bottom sirloin steak because of its almost triangular-shaped and fairly-tender, lean cut of meat.

It’s really good, as it features a tender texture with rich flavorful taste. It’s ideal for roasting and grilling as well.

Beef Eye Round Roast. It’s a boneless low-fat eye round cut meat sourced from the lean and active beef muscle, meaning it contains lesser fat and produces a ton of flavor!

This chunk of beef is so meaty and it is ideal for marinated, grilled, or even pot roast dishes.

Premium Steak Tips. This meat is trimmed from various tender steaks which include cuts from tri-tip, culotte, and sirloin. It’s ideal for grilling or braising!

They are nicely trimmed, with notably little to zero connective tissue.

Butcher Box is truly an excellent subscription. It’s a little bit pricey, but the quality of the meat and makes it totally worth it. Each box comes with 7 – 10 lbs of meat which is ideal for a small family like ours. It works out to be about $6.50 per portion for the meat – and there is no difference in cost between getting all grass-fed beef or mixing them with organic chicken or even heritage pork. I really appreciate how the meats were delivered and arrived frozen, and was portioned into manageable sized cuts that make them easy to portion out over time. Seeing the convenience, top-notch meat, and excellent service, this box definitely deserves a double thumbs up!

Stay tuned for our “what we made this month” post to show you our goodies all cooked up!
