We are greeted with a uniquely laid out box that features the 2 crafting activities and its materials.

It is designed to fit the needs of the UK Royal mail – but in the cutest little flat box! You know this one is really going to grab and go!

Every box includes colorful stickers. For this month, we got stickers featuring a variety of colorful masked superheroes!

Everything in the box!

Every box also includes a magazine for kids.

As always, it’s fun and colorful!

This month’s magazine is superhero-themed.

A spread is dedicated to Eurovision, an annual singing competition for different countries in Europe, plus Australia which is not a part of Europe. According to the booklet, this year’s contest took place in Tel Aviv, Israel on the 18th day of May.

The STEAM Team takes us on a new adventure, but before you go and start with the superhero challenge, they listed steps to get you prepared on the experiment. First is to pour water into a paper cup or a freezer bag, then drop in a plastic toy, and finally, put it in the freezer until it gets frozen.

The first activity is about drawing any kind of superhero you want to be!

The next on-page activity is about drawing a bridge, so that Kit and Dot can help Toucan cross the freezing water.

For the experiment, you need to melt the ice from the paper cup/freezer bag you’ve prepared earlier. There’s a space where you can draw the methods you’ve tried and there’s also a line at the bottom where you can write which of the methods worked best.

This month’s featured recipe is the No-Bake Superhero Biscuits. The booklet listed all the needed ingredients and provided step-by-step instructions.

There’s also another activity where the kids need to find all the hidden shapes on the page.

They encourage their subscribers to share their experiences and projects from toucanBox on social media using #toucanboxmag.

The projects for this month are Royal Crown and Finger Puppets and Coastline Crabs and Sand Art.

Here are two cute stickers relating to the crafting activities!

Activity #1: Royal Crown & Finger Puppets. For this project, we used the ribbon, double stick tape, colored pencils, jewels, finger puppets, and sticky back foam. From home, we only need scissors.

According to the booklet, this activity needs a bit of grown-up assistance, especially on the cutting part. Plus, it requires some drying time too!

This project takes a number of simple yet detailed steps to complete it. Inspired by the project, the booklet also features an on-page maze activity!

Here’s my son working on the puppets!

He already had fun playing with them even before he finished coloring.

My youngest joined in on the fun as well! She helped with the royal crown.

She enjoyed putting jewels on the crown!

We stuck the jewels on the felt crown using double-sided tape.

Here you go! Our princess dons her royal crown!

Activity #2: Coastline Crabs & Sand Art. For the second activity, we used pipe cleaners, sticky back eyes, mini clothes pegs, sticky back felt circles, stuffings for creating our coastline crabs, and rock pool canvas, glue pen, and glitter sand for our sand art.

The first step is to peel the back of the circle-shaped sticky paper and lay the pipe cleaners across it. Then, put some stuffing in the middle of the sticky circle and enclose it using the other felt paper. Place the eyes on the top of the paper and mini clothes pegs on the first layer of pipe cleaners, it will serve as the crab’s pincer.

The sand art is a bit messy, so you’ll be needing some newspapers from your home where you can work your project. Once the newspaper is set, place your rock pool canvas on the sheet, put glue on the part where you’ll be putting the glitter sand, and slowly sprinkle the sand on top of it. Let it dry and color the rest of the canvas, it’s that simple!

toucanBox never fails to impress us. This batch of activities is fun and engaging. Every project is made to enhance your kids’ artistic and crafty side. They also made sure to include most of the materials you’ll be needing, so all you just need to do is read the instruction carefully and work accordingly. As usual, the magazine is very helpful, as it features a detailed step-by-step procedure that makes all the projects way much easier. This subscription is definitely an ideal box for learning and a great family bonding time!
