The Vegan Kind is the UK’s most popular subscription boxes for vegans. The Beauty Box delivers a mix of vegan skincare, cosmetics and beauty products quarterly.

UPDATE: Since February 2018, The Vegan Kind Beauty Box is shipping bimonthly. Read more about it here.

The August and September Edition of my TVK Beauty Box arrived in a sturdy little box styled out in pretty pastel colours. A little bit of crinkle cut shredded paper keeps the contents safe.

DEAL: Get £5 off your first box! Use coupon code VEGAN.

The box features 5 products.

Details of each product are given in the What’s Inside Your Box sheet.

The info sheet also includes skincare tips from Demi-Colleen, a Veterinary Nurse and skincare enthusiast who runs a race and beauty blog. She offers some useful tips on how to properly cleanse your skin.  The VeganKind continues to support Animal Free Research UK which supports the development of techniques and procedures to replace the use of animals in biomedical research – £100 from this edition was donated to the good cause.

Crazy Rumors Hibiskiss Tinted Lip Balm (RRP £4.99) is a 100% natural and vegan shea butter-based lip balm. With luscious berry and hibiscus flavours, this light yet creamy balm gives lips a gentle pink shimmer. This is lovely stuff – lip balm with a little bit extra!

Greenfrog Botanic Pink Clay Konjac Facial Sponge (RRP £8.95) is made from the konjac plant and enhanced with pink clay to gently exfoliate, purify, soften and plump skin. The sponges are 100% natural, sustainable and biodegradeable, making them an environmentally smart choice for skincare. After soaking in warm water for a minute, the sponge goes from brittle to soft and luxurious. The sponge gently polishes the skin without any additional product required and made my face feel clean, smooth and glowing. I now look forward to using this everyday, it makes my skin feel fantastic.

ORGANii Hand & Nail Cream (RRP £2.95) is made with 56% organic ingredients and contains seven plant extracts and oils, including sea buckthorn extract and orange oil for soft hands and strong nails. This is light yet creamy and perfectly hydrates even sensitive hands. It also has a lovely light citrus scent.

Corpore Sanctum Tonify Me Bunny Mist 70ml (RRP £14.95) is a Vitamin C mist created to plump skin and minimize pores. The mist is cool and refreshing, feeling great on the skin. I can’t say that I’ve noticed a difference in my pores yet, but I can say with absolute certainty that the little bunny bottle is adorable!

Superdrug Rosehip & Cactus Fruit Travel Set (RRP £2.00) includes two little 50ml bottles of shampoo and conditioner designed specifically for coloured hair. Both smell lush, are reasonably priced and perfect for travel.

TheVeganKind Beauty Box continues to deliver an exceptional range of ethical beauty and self-care products.  I don’t believe that this month’s box is as great a value as previous boxes, simply because the products are all at a lower price point. That said, I did like all of the products in the box. The winner for me, hands down, was the wonderful Greenfrog Sponge.
