The Book(ish) Box is a monthly subscription of literary-inspired items. Every box contains a t-shirt and 3-4 other bookish goodies! The Bookish Box now offers the option to have a YA book included in your box! When you sign up, you’ll have the option to select one of the multiple box options.
The items are protectively packaged to ensure safety during shipping.
There are a lot of squiggles in the box.
The theme for July 2019 is Forbidden Forest.
The card lists all the contents of the box.
If you selected the book with your box you would have received:
YA Book Box – Storm Crow by Kalyn Josephson with exclusive illustrated dust jacket designed by Isabella Smith ($29.99)
Adult Book Box – Coldhearted Bods by RS Grey ($15)
with Adult Book special gift – trading cards from the book, Kingdom of Exiles
Everything in my box!
Buckbeak Hagrids Hut Print ($8) The art print features Buckbeak, a male hippogriff that was saved from execution by Harry and his friends in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. It’s seen sitting in front of Hagrid’s hut surrounded by large pumpkins.
Forbidden Forest Enamel Pin ($10) Dust and Pages yet again designed an adorable enamel pin, and it is inspired by Harry’s beautiful pet owl, Hedwig!
The owl looks happy! It wears a pair of eyeglasses and there’s Harry’s scar too on its forehead. I like that it’s surrounded by flowers. It’s so pretty!
Zodiac Bookmark ($8) For this month, I got Godric Gryffindor for the Leo bookmark! We all know that the Gryffindor House’s animal is the lion so it’s just perfect to have him for this month’s zodiac bookmark.
It’s the 7th piece of the bigger picture. I am really excited to complete this one!
Thestral Car Decal ($5) Thestrals are bat-winged horses, but invisible to those who have never seen someone die or touched by death. The car decals (the one on the left) features these creatures along with what Luna Lovegood said to Harry when they saw them: “you’re just as sane as I am.”
Monthly Theme Art Sticker ($4) Every month, subscribers get a sticker featuring the same illustration as the information card. For this month, it shows the majestic Forbidden Forest along with the mythical and fantastic creatures inhabiting it.
Unicorn Necklace ($10) The beautiful necklace features our favorite mythical creature, the Unicorn!
Unicorns, in the Wizarding World, are iconic creatures of magic. These majestic equines possess potent magical properties. For example, their tail hairs are used as supreme magic wand cores.
Whomping Willow Spoon ($6) The spoon is inspired by Whoomping Willow, probably the most popular magical plant in the Wizarding World. It’s known to be very violent, and the one in Hogwarts hides a secret passage to the Shrieking Shack in Hogsmeade.
The spoon looks gorgeous, just the perfect utensil to use for a relaxing tea time!
The handle looks like a stem with several leaves sprouting at the tip. It definitely reminded me of the time when Harry, Hermione, and Ron were attacked by the tree and that led them to find some of the Marauders!
Full-size Tapestry ($26) The beautiful tapestry is designed by Lilla Bölecz, and it’s a folklore take of the Forbidden Forest.
The forest is full of mythical and fantastic creatures. Here is the centaur with a bow and arrow, and some of the birds that you can find in the forest like a snowy owl and a raven.
Here’s a witch accompanied by a snake and a unicorn.
Under the snake is a skull.
There are also some fairies and other animals, aside from the winged horses. The tapestry also featured some trees, plants, and flowers that gave color to the forest!
Forbidden Forest-themed Shirt ($25) Another take on the Forbidden Forest is also being showcased in this month’s gray shirt!
It features some of the mythical creatures, and most of them are based on Harry Potter, like the iconic unicorns, big spiders, centaurs, and more!
It’s a Wizarding World-themed box, and I’m glad to get stuff that features one of the most important parts of the Potter series, the Forbidden Forest! It’s the home to some of the iconic and mythical creatures that played vital roles in the series, and it’s just right to give them a nod by featuring them in a great box like this. I love the folklore take of the forest that is pictured in the tapestry, and the I am so excited that I am nearing to completing the bookmark’s last piece (just 5 months to go!). The shirt is also phenomenal and it matches the beautiful necklace. I also love seeing that they individually featured some of my favorite creatures from the Wizarding World like Buckbeak, and of course, Hedwig! I also love the book suggestions, and I know there are still lots of titles to explore, and lots of fun stuff to get from this subscription!
Tell me what you thought about this month’s Bookish Box!
