Tea With Oliver by Mika Song ($9.88)

An Amazon Best Children’s Book of the Month selection

Filled with humor and heart and brought to life with gorgeous watercolor-and-ink illustrations, this book from debut author-illustrator Mika Song shows readers how friends can come in all shapes and sizes and be found in the most unexpected places.

Oliver is not like other cats. He likes cookies and tea and just wants a friend to share them with.

Philbert is the shy mouse who lives under Oliver’s couch. He tries to get Oliver’s attention by writing him notes, but Oliver doesn’t notice little Philbert. When a full-on cat party erupts at Oliver’s apartment, brave Philbert decides this is his big chance to finally introduce himself to Oliver.

Dear Oliver, Let’s have tea. Love, Philbert (under the couch)

There’s Philbert, the little mouse, at the back of the book! We all wished that Oliver will notice him!

Inside the book, there’s a sweet note from the little mouse. He also provided a space where you can label the book!

The illustrations are lovely, and my younger kids love them! However, they really felt sad for Philbert as Oliver doesn’t really notice his small stature.

Philbert tried a lot of stuff to make Oliver notice him. My kids find them funny and giggled a lot. Everybody hoped that a great friendship will start among these two!

Sleepover Duck! by Carin Bramsen ($14.28)

Join Duck and Cat – from Hey, Duck! and Just a Duck? – for an adventurous barn sleepover in their third picture book together! Perfect for fans of Mo Willems’ Elephant and Piggie series.

It’s Duck’s very first sleepover . . . and it’s in Cat’s barn! But a “Hooot, Hooot” is keeping Duck from getting any sleep. So Duck and Cat set off to search high and low to find out just who is doing all that hooting. Full of your favorite barnyard animals and their memorable sounds, young readers will love this delightfully funny and endearing story.

Aside from this book, you can also find the cute tandem of Cat and Duck in Hey, Duck! and Just a Duck.

Finally, it’s Duck’s turn to spend the night at Cat’s barn. However, he can’t sleep because of somebody hooting!

The illustrations are really cheery and bright. Here, we can see how excited Duck is. It’s a really lovely scene with Cat’s barn on the background.

Duck is really having the time of his life on Cat’s barn. However, he can’t fall asleep due to a sound that some other animal is making, and instead of trying to sleep, the two go on a hunt to know who’s making the sound!

Puppies in Paris (Disney Junior: Puppy Dog Pals) by Michael Olson ($9.05)

This super-cute Big Golden Book is based on the Disney Junior show Puppy Dog Pals!

Bingo and Rolly are the cutest pug puppies around! Children ages 3 to 7 will love this Big Golden Book. It retells an episode of the new Disney Junior show Puppy Dog Pals in which the pups travel to France to get bread for their owner, Bob, to make his favorite breakfast: French toast!

Puppy Dog Pals is a preschool show that follows two adorable pug puppies, Bingo and Rolly, who find adventure as they travel the world doing whatever it takes to make their owner, Bob, happy.

The story is based on the new Disney show Puppy Dog Pals.

Bingo and Rolly are on a journey to find bread in France for their owner Bob! How sweet!

The two cute pups have quite an adventure! My kids love this story so much, we’re also looking out for this episode. It also proves how loyal these pups are to their owner, as they’re willing to find the things that’ll make him happy!

This is a nice set of books that shows the beauty of friendship, and that even the characters have lots of differences, they still get along very well! We love the Pups’ adventure in Paris! They go out of their way just to make their owner happy! Cat and Duck’s sleepover is fun as well, the story definitely put my young ones in a sleepy state after I read the story to them. We’re also happy that a nice friendship has formed between Oliver and Philbert! These books are fun, informative, and exciting! We’re looking forward to the next box!
