Inside the pamphlet is an introduction to the Beauty Heroes items for the month of August. This month’s Hero items is the Refresh Mint Resurfacing Moisture Mask and the sidekick item is the Optimist Hydrating Essence.
Maya Chia The Refresh Mint Resurfacing Moisture Mask ($68) Our hero product this month helps the skin look smooth and glowing. The formula also contains moisturizing and soothing properties.
More benefits include improved complexion and reduced redness. Also, it’s formulated to exfoliate in the gentlest way possible.
The mask contains Azelaic and lactic acids that help in the appearance of the skin, pumpkin and pineapple enzymes that gently exfoliate the skin making it look even and glowing, and chia seed extracts that gives the mask nourishing and calming properties. Also, the minty smell of the mask gives a revitalizing and calming feel!
The mask has a beautiful blue hue! To use, just apply a thin layer of the mask on cleansed skin and allow to remain until completely dried. Rinse with warm water and pat dry, then you can follow it up with a serum or moisturizer. For best results, use it every other day on the first week, then mask 2-3 times in the following weeks.
Maya Chia The Optimist Hydrating Essence ($29) Aptly named The Optimist, this hydrating essence gives the skin positive results! It provides a weightless and powerful boost of hydration, making the skin look more moisturized, plumper, and brighter. The formula is packed with antioxidants, amino acids, polysaccharides, phytonutrients, and fatty acids like sake, white tea, astaxanthin, licorice, and chia seeds. You can use it daily after cleansing and even under make-up!
Chia seeds are packed with a lot of nutrients despite their small size. Both of our hero and sidekick items this month are powered by chia. These nourishing and hydrating products are quite useful for me, as I have dry skin all year round. They’re easy to add to my routine as well. If you’re like me who loves discovering healthy beauty items, this subscription is a must-try! There’s always a new brand to look forward to every month, and the information they provide in the booklet is really insightful!
