This is a review of the August curated box – Ingredient-Conscious!

The items were wrapped in light pink tissue paper.

The card features a fun fortune-telling game, you just have cut it off and fold it up.

At the back, there are brief details on each item as well as the price if you were to buy the full size.

You can visit Birchbox.com/MyBox to easily see the details of your box, which I recommend because sometimes they have videos on the item product pages which I find useful.

Another card contains a coupon code from Birchbox – get 100 extra points through 8/31 with coupon code GET100!

Everything in my August 2019 box!

M·A·C Cosmetics In Extreme Dimension 3D Black Lash Mascara ($24 Full-Size .44oz. – $7??) For such a volumizing mascara, this one’s unbelievably light! It adds volume without weighing your lash down, and it doesn’t clump or flake either. It even conditions your lashes to keep it soft and beautiful.

The sample tube came with a fluffy brush designed to allow even application of mascara. It glides on smoothly and stays on for a long time, but rinses easily when you need to take it off.

ARROW BOOST Color Enhancing Lip Balm – Berry Busy ($15) It’s a pigmented lip balm, keeping your lips smooth and soft with a healthy flush of color. What’s nice about this lip balm is that the shade depends on your lips’ pH, so it’s really unique for everyone. Key ingredients include hydrating mango seed butter.

I love how it enhanced my natural lip color and that it lasts for a long time. It has a nice scent as well. Plus, it’s vegan, paraben-free, cruelty-free, and gluten-free.

Air Repair Complexion-Boosting Moisturizer ($2.76) My skin tends to dry out, especially when exposed to climate changes like when traveling. This handy moisturizer comes to the rescue, as it contains hyaluronic acid, humectants, and green tea extract that hydrates and improves complexion. It’s ideal for all skin types and it doesn’t cause oiliness either. This moisturizer is recommended to be reapplied throughout the day as needed.

Vasanti® BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator ($5.70) Ideally applied after cleansing, this exfoliator aids in eliminating dullness, dark spots, and signs of aging.  For those who follow skincare routines with several steps, this one is especially useful because its formula helps your skin absorb other skincare products better. To use, just put a small amount on your palms and massage it on your face, then rinse. Key ingredients include smoothing papaya enzymes and nourishing aloe vera. It’s so gentle and it’s not scented either. It may take several uses to see actual results, but I love how it makes my skin feel – this is a Birchbox fave!!!

Oribe Grandiose Hair Plumping Mousse ($5.47) I was expecting a lot from this hair mousse since it’s from Oribe. Well, it didn’t disappoint because gave my fine hair the volume it needs while keeping it protected from the adverse effects of heat styling.

The formula is color-safe and fortified with panthenol. It also contains starch polymer responsible for holding your hairstyle all day.

I’m satisfied by this month’s Birchbox beauty picks! The samples are all promising, and the variety is awesome as well. I got a hair styling item, two skincare items, and two cosmetic items, making a cohesive routine. My absolute favorites are the color-changing lip balm and the lightweight mascara. I also like the moisturizer which I’ll probably use the next time I travel. With a total retail value of about $36 and a wonderful curation of usable products, I give this box two thumbs up!
