My items were shipped in a white box with no additional cushioning.

All of my items were tucked into a plastic bag.

Allure is a magazine so they produce a mini-magazine with all the featured items in the box.

The magazine lists each product, the MSRP of the full-sized product, and where you can find more. Plus, you can find some discount codes for a future purchase.

NOTE: Allure sometimes sends several box versions so your mini-magazine and products (and value) may differ from mine.

In some cases, like with the enclosed lipstick, the color may vary.

Everything in my box!

Allure started sending a reusable plastic bag that holds all of the items. I’m not a fan of the bags.

Nuria Defend Triple Action Eye Cream ($40) is a vegan and cruelty-free eye cream that claims to help reduce dark circles, puffiness, and fine lines. Mulberry root, ginseng, and cucumber are supposed to help with those concerns and there is also some hyaluronic acid for moisture.

The tip was odd and didn’t exactly glide over my skin like stainless steel roller balls will but I didn’t experience any irritation.

Erno Laszlo Multi-Task Eye Serum Mask ($5.83) Here is an under eye mask that is supposed to do all of the same things as the eye cream shown above!

Ingredients include centella which may help sagging skin but like the eye cream, it also has fragrance. Leave on for 10 minutes before getting on with your day.

Primera Alpine Berry Water Cream ($4) is a luxurious cream with a slight herbal scent (from added fragrance) that helps keep skin moist but without feeling heavy. My skin absorbed it quickly but you could still tell it was there, holding moisture in my skin.

Cocoa seed butter helps lock in moisture while artemesia extract helps maintain the skin’s moisture barrier.

Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real! Lengthening Mascara ($8.33) I never expect much from mascara other than to make me look like I actually have lashes, but this one makes my lashes look pretty darn big!

I think Benefit makes some of the best mascaras and I am always happy to have one show up in a box. My lashes looked great all day long without smudging although if you watch a silly movie with Will Ferrell then all bets are off.

MakeUp Eraser MakeUp Eraser The Mini in Black ($12) I have a couple of sample sized Makeup Erasers but this one is a mini and larger than those free samples. I linked to the pink color because that is all they have on offer.

Even the box is cute and is shaped like an eraser!

Instructions for use were included.

I was surprised by the size and the results. I’ve used the small pink samples before but they don’t work as well as this mini. Also, I don’t think I need a bigger cloth, this one worked well for my needs.

I used one side to remove eye makeup, then the other to remove face makeup. I then went on with my regular cleansing routine and noticed that my eye makeup remover pad and washcloth didn’t have as much dirt (aka makeup) on them as usual, even though I’ve been using the smaller pink samples.

You can see here that the fibers are sized differently – one side is for “erasing”, the other is for exfoliating. I thought they felt similar though. I’m impressed and although this didn’t remove every last trace of makeup, it came close and the darker color won’t show stains either.

Laritzy Cosmetics Liquid Beam Multipurpose Liquid Illuminator in Topaz ($22) The mini magazine called this a liquid bronze eye shadow but Laritzy says it’s a multipurpose highlighter.

The shade Topaz is described as “soft gold” and it comes with a soft, flocked applicator. I used it as a highlighter and I don’t think it gave much color payoff, so I don’t think it would work well on my eyes as a shadow but I liked it as a highlighter.

Cargo Essential Lip Color ($22) Subscribers will receive a random color and mine was Kyoto, which was described as “baby pink”.

I wanted to love this, I mean, it’s a full sized lipstick! Unfortunately, it was bright bubblegum pink AND opaque and it looked so horrible on my lips that I had to wipe it off.

Here are the highlighter and lip color swatched on my inner arm.

It’s always fun to see what shows up in my Allure Beauty Box! Sometimes I am blown away by the items, sometimes they are kind of meh, but it always has a great combination of items and I am aware that all items won’t blow me away every time. The value is always a good one and I always find enough keepers to more than pay for the box’s subscription price. The value for my August box was around $114.16! My favorites this month were the Makeup Eraser and the mascara!
