The box is filled with all sorts of crafty items and we’re excited to use them all!

Every box includes an information card with a message from the curator of the box. At the back, there’s a lovely poem that describes this month’s featured activities. This is certainly a super fun and engaging way to start the craft.

Also included is an instruction guide, supported by images of the steps.

We have a total of five activities in store for us.

All the materials needed are included in the box.

#1: Crabby Hats

For the crabby hat, most of the materials are already pre-made. We got a hatband, smiley mouth, foam stickers, pre-cut claws, googly eyes, and pipe cleaners.

This is easier to do as most of the parts are already pre-cut, we just need to add adhesives and they’re ready to form the crabby hats!

For the crab’s eyes, we attached the googly eyes to the circular foam, followed by the pipe cleaners that will connect the whole thing to the band.

We made two cute crabby hats!

My youngest tried it on and she liked the hat! She’s so cute!

The other hat is bigger and it fits my son well!

#2 Clay Beads and Shell Necklaces

For the accessory project, we used clay, pipe cleaners, seashells, sculpting tool, wax paper, a baking dish or tray, and an oven to bake the clay.

We made a marble pattern out of the two clays by mixing the colors and dividing them for two full necklaces. Then, the kids made some beads out of them, and a pendant that’ll hold the seashell.

The kids pushed the seashell on the bigger round clay. We then transferred the finished beads and pendant on a baking dish and baked the clays.

We used the pipe cleaners to make the full necklaces!

The pendants turned out pretty! You need to cool this down first as the shells stay hot!

My daughter tried it on and it looks good on her, though the pendant seems bigger. They had so much fun!

#3 Bilbo The Birthday Whale & #4 Shelly The Fancy Seahorse

Now, it’s time to bring some ocean friends to life: Bilbo the birthday whale and Shelly the fancy seahorse! For these activities, we were already provided with a whale and seahorse template, some cupcake liners, markers, glue, and multi-colored tissue papers.

To give color to our friends, they provided us with a set Crayola Pip-Squeaks Washable Markers! It consists of 16 cool colors!

First up, we decorated Bilbo using the markers, the cupcake liners to serve as his fins, and the blue tissue will serve as the water coming out of his spout.

Making Shelly fancy is fun! This one required more use of the cupcake liners and tissue.

Here’s Bilbo’s complete look!

Shelly looks beautiful! I love the flower added on her made from pink and yellow tissue papers!

#5 Fabulous Ocean Poster

Lastly, we’re adding nice hues to our ocean poster! Again, we’re going to use the washable markers, some sponge, paper towels, water, tissue, and sparkles. We also need some glue or adhesives to make the sparkles stick to the poster.

There’s already a pre-made poster with lots of images of ocean creatures.

It’s time to add colors and embellishments on the big ocean poster!

And we’re done! It’s really fun because the images are bigger compared to coloring pages, it’s more fun to add color to them!

Here’s everything that was done from this super fun box!

After the outer space adventure from our last We Craft Box, it’s time to explore the beauty underwater through these fun crafts! Among all the activities, we loved making the shell necklaces the most! The accessories turned out fancy and beautiful. The other crafts are fun as well, especially coloring the big ocean poster. My kids love coloring activities so these are all fun and interesting for them. They were also able to try new coloring techniques using the washable markers and the sponges. This is definitely a perfect bonding activity for the whole family, and the end products always turn out fantastic!
