The Vegan Kind is the UK’s most popular subscription boxes for vegans. The Beauty Box delivers a mix of vegan skincare, cosmetics and beauty products quarterly.

UPDATE: Since February 2018, The Vegan Kind Beauty Box is shipping bimonthly. Read more about it here.

The June and July Summer Pamper Edition of my TVK Beauty Box arrived in a sturdy little box styled out in pretty pastel colours. A little bit of crinkle cut shredded paper keeps the contents safe.

DEAL: Get £5 off your first box! Use coupon code VEGAN.

The box features 6 products.

Details of each product are given in the What’s Inside Your Box sheet.

The info sheet also includes a makeup bag tip from Emma, a Youtuber with a cruelty-free and vegan lifestyle channel. The tip for cleaning makeup brushes with just vegan washing up liquid and conditioner is really helpful! And as always, 20p from the sale of each beauty box goes to Animal Free Research UK which supports the development of techniques and procedures to replace the use of animals in biomedical research – a worthy cause indeed!

Vitamasques Rose Gold Sheet Mask (RRP £5.99) has gold dust to reduce inflammation and rose extract to moisturise and sooth redness. There are only a few flecks of gold leaf on the mask and it has a powerful scent of rose which, while absolutely lovely, gave me a headache after 20 minutes of wearing the mask. That said, this is a great sheet mask, it left my face feeling smooth and hydrated with absolutely no irritation.

Laponie of Scandanavia Skincare Toner (RRP £24.00) is a 100% natural toner spray for use on clean skin before applying moisturiser and makeup, or as a midday pick-me-up. With ectoin, sea kelp and liquorice, the toner hydrates and soothes skin. The pump produces a heavy spray, so you definitely want to have your eyes completely closed, but it’s also a really refreshing spritz!

Derma V10 Tea Tree & Peppermint Foot Treatment (RRP £1.00) is a deep moisturising foot pack enriched with Vitamin E to help sooth rough, dry and cracked heels. The little boots are really comfy to wear. I don’t have particularly rough heels, so I can’t speak to how well this treatment works for troubled feet, but I did have two little callouses on my big toes which went away right after using this treatment. At just £1.00, this is a total bargain and a great way to relax for 15 minutes.

The box includes a sample size of Kierin NYC Sunday Brunch Deluxe Perfume (RRP of full size £65).  With top notes of Italian Bergamot, lemon and Earl Grey tea, the perfume evokes a cheerful, energetic and luminous vibe.  Each Kiering NYC fragrance is inspired by real NYC stories – this particular scent is accompanied by a little blurb about meeting friends for brunch at a trendy cafe where tea and mimosas are flowing.   It is a mature yet fun, vibrant fragrance and one I would choose for myself.

BAMBeautiful Conditioning Masque 50ml (RRP £4.95) is a deep conditioner to help gradually create denser, thicker hair. Ecocert bamboo silica promotes strength and shine while organic pea sprout is rich in beneficial protein, starch and fibres. I can’t say whether or not this actually thickens hair – I have very thick hair as it is and didn’t notice a difference. However, I absolutely love the scent of this conditioner and how soft and shiny it makes my hair. It’s a great conditioner aredefinitely worth a try if you have thinning hair.

Seren London Cheek Rouge (RRP £3.99) is a highly pigmented pressed powder which can be used as a highlighter, eyeshadow, bronzer, or to add contour. This rouge has a gentle shimmer and is highly pigmented. In fact, for my skintone it is a bit too dark to use as a blush but it works nicely for other purposes.

TheVeganKind Beauty Box always includes a range of ethical beauty and self-care products, and the Summer Paper Edition is no exception.  I recommend it to anyone and everyone looking for a versatile and good value subscription box.
