I started by taking a quick scent quiz and received some suggestions on what I should order, but then I perused the scents on offer and decided to fill up my queue with popular scents like Mon Paris and Black Opium.
Everything in my box! I received my monthly scent in a simple black box placed in a mailer box. No cards or literature, Scentwist keeps it simple! Scentwist vials hold .27 ounces, or 8ml. It is enough for several sprays a day throughout the month.
Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Herba Fresca Eau De Toilette ($35.20 for 2.5 ounces) I went with a scent that was unknown to me. It is classified as an aromatic green scent and I wanted something refreshing for the depressingly hot days we have here in Central Texas in July. The scent is considered unisex and has notes of clover, lemon, green tea, and spearmint. At first spray, it smells sort of sour, but not body odor sour, more like fresh lemon or grapefruit. There is a “green” feel about it and I can pick out the spearmint note, which lasts the longest of all the notes. Don’t get me wrong, it doesn’t smell like mouthwash, and I find it enjoyable.
The scent name is near the top of the vial.
My current case is a vibrant purple! You will receive a case with your first box and then another one every 4 months.
Just place the vial into the case and then twist as needed to display or hide the spray nozzle.
I am pretty happy with my July Scentwist scent! It was just what I needed as the temps inch ever closer to the 100+ mark in my area. It is refreshing and not overpowering and so if I spritz it a few times per day then that’s ok. I think this is an older scent and therefore not one I’m likely to encounter in the store but I liked the notes and am very happy with how this turned out!
