Play! by Sephora is a monthly subscription box that brings only the best and exclusive Sephora beauty and makeup samples. The subscription costs $10 per month, and you’ll get 5 deluxe beauty products, playlists, a fragrance bonus item, plus coupons you can use when you visit in-store.

If I see the black and white stripes, Sephora box is here!

The items were neatly packed!

The fold-out poster has a really cute illustration of this month’s theme and a lot of helpful tips on skin care and makeup. Plus, a reminder that you can now use your Play! Pass online! That little card is a PLAY! Pass that will get you 50 extra Beauty Insider points with a purchase from the box, in-store or online. You can also get a complimentary mini makeover!

This month’s theme is Destination Beauty!

The fold-out poster also shows a list of all the items included in this box.

Your subscription also entitles you to PLAY! Date meetups if your store participates. I don’t even have a Sephora (not even a JCP one) but this box totally excites me even without those experiences. I love the high-end brands every month for just $10.

The items are packed in a red transparent plastic.

Everything in my box! See the spoilers for all the variations here. Your box could vary – it’s built off your profile!

HUM Nutrition Hair Sweet Hair Growth – Vegan Gummies ($0.83) It’s a berry-flavored vegan gummy supplement with vitamin B12 to promote hair growth and health. It also supports hair pigmentation for healthy hair color.

It is suggested to take two gummies per day at any time of day and expect results in four to eight weeks.

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair BarriAIR Cream ($6) Lightweight and moisturizing, this cream-to-foam formula helps repair the skin barrier and provide adaptable hydration for combination and normal skin types. Its main ingredients include ceramides, and tri-molecular weight hyaluronic acid.

It improves your skin’s condition by eliminating dullness, uneven texture, fine lines, and wrinkles. It is suggested to be used daily in the morning and night. I love that it gets easily absorbed by the skin and that it doesn’t leave a greasy residue!

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask in Original Berry ($2.28) This is one of Laneige’s best sellers! It’s a leave-on lip mask that soothes and moisturizes for smoother, more supple lips overnight. I got it in the Original Berry variant which smells really good!

This is perfect for dry and chapped lips. The formula is packed with vitamin C and antioxidants from raspberries, strawberries, cranberries, goji berries, and blueberries.

Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb ($7.46) A blend of apothecary herbs were used to make this cream extremely hydrating. Ideal for normal, oily and combination skin types, it gives the skin moisture minus the oily feel.

It feels cool and refreshing when applied. Aside from the intensive hydration, the formula also works on minimizing the appearance of pores. It’s the bomb!

Biossance Squalane + Tea Tree Detox Mask ($3.85) This clay mask may be used as an all-over facial mask or overnight as a spot treatment. Squalene helps lock in moisture while tea tree soothes the skin. Another key ingredient is French green clay which draws impurities. To use, just apply to clean skin, leave on for 10 minutes, gently massage, and rinse. The formula is ideal for normal, dry, combination, and oily skin. It’s gentle on the skin and it’s not drying either!

Tarte Babassu Foundcealer Skincare Foundation SPF 20 ($6.63) It’s a must-have foundation because it’s super easy to use and it’s high-quality! The foundation glides over my full face without cracking, caking, or settling. It helps hydrate and gives the appearance of fuller, healthy-looking skin. It acts as a concealer as well, plus it has SPF 20!

This month’s curation of samples is dominated by skin care products with only one makeup item that is a multi-tasking foundation. I have no complaints since the detox mask, aqua bomb, lip mask, and cream-to-foam product are all hydrating and usable. They’re easy to incorporate to a daily skin care routine as well, should you decide to buy the full size. The items have a total retail value of $27, which is way more than what I paid for!
