This is a review of the July curated box #1 – Ingredient-Conscious!

I love this month’s box design. It looks so bright and fresh with all those oranges and lemons!

The items were wrapped in yellow tissue paper.

The card features an empowering message.

I used to be self-conscious about the gap in my teeth. Then when I was 11 I met this kid who could shoot water out of his gap–we both did ut together, and it reminded me how unique I was.

Everything in my July 2019 box!

Lavanila Pure Vanilla The Healthy Fragrance ($1.36) I love wearing vanilla scents like this sample fragrance. It’s warm and sweet without being intimidating.

It boasts of a blend of pure botanical extracts and essential oils. The scent lasted a long time on me and I admit – I picked this box because I wanted this sample!!

W3ll People Bio Bronzer Powder in Natural Tan ($21.99 Full-Size 0.32 oz.) Summer is the perfect time for bronzing or creating a sun-kissed look. Whether worn on bare skin or over foundation, this one doesn’t crease or get cakey.

The powder turned into clumps, probably during shipping, and it spilled a bit. Still, it works great for me and it’s super buildable. The formula even contains aloe leaf, known to hydrate skin and reduce inflammation.

Derma-E Essentials Overnight Peel with AHAs ($2.34) Combining alpha hydroxyl acids and glycolic sugar cane, this overnight peel helps remove dead skin cells and improve the tone of your skin.

It’s ideally applied on cleansed skin and followed by a treatment and moisturizer. The formula targets dullness and signs of aging, plus it’s non-irritating.

Beautaniq Beauty Blush Serum ($16) A nice alternative to your regular blush, the serum acts like makeup and skincare in one. The texture is creamy and immediately melts when it gets in contact with your skin. I got it in Sunset, an apricot shade.

The formula is infused with apricot seed oil and vitamin E, which keeps your skin hydrated. Unlike other serums, it doesn’t feel oily or greasy at all. It’s long-wearing and natural-looking, perfect for a no-makeup makeup look.

Davines SU Hair & Body Wash ($7.10) It’s a shampoo and shower gel in one! It came just right in time for summer, as it promises to help repair damaged hair and soothe irritated skin due to sun exposure. The formula contains Italian citrus extracts and I just love how fresh it smells. Also, a little goes a long way!

Beauty Counter Countersun Mineral Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 ($7.35) Another summer must-have is this mineral sunscreen. With SPF 30, it provides UVA and UVB defense and it doesn’t harm the environment because it’s petrochemical-free and reef-friendly.

The formula is water-resistant for up to 40 minutes. It’s also ideal for all skin types.

Summer can’t get any better because of this month’s sample items from Birchbox. I’m pleased with the variety of summer essentials, plus a couple of makeup items and a lovely fragrance sample. Aside from the powder arriving clumpy and a bit messy, I had no issues and it’s just everything I could ask for. I totally loved the blush serum that came in full-size! It’s a new favorite because it gave my cheeks a natural flush. Also, it’s not as complicated to use as my regular blush products. The overall retail value is $41, definitely way more than the price paid for the box!
