The books that we got for this month are Whose Shoe by Eve Bunting, and Be Brave Little One by Marianne Richmond.

Whose Shoe? by Eve Bunting ($12.19)

There’s something in that tall bamboo.

Oh, my goodness! It’s a shoe!

A mouse comes across a shoe and sets out to find its owner. A conscientious role model, this determined mouse asks an unlikely assortment of animals if the shoe belongs to them, hears about their own shoes, and receives a surprising reward at the end. Eve Bunting’s cheerful rhymed text and Sergio Ruzzier’s charmingly unique illustrations make this a delightful book to share with a young child.

The back cover of the book features different kinds of shoes!

The story isn’t just about finding the owner of the lost shoe, it also features the different kinds and uses of shoes.

The rhymes are great for reading aloud, plus the illustrations are cute, that’s why the kids are getting fond of the whole book!

The story also teaches the kids that patience really pays off in the end.

Be Brave Little One by Marianne Richmond ($5.94)

From the author of If I Could Keep You Little comes Be Brave Little One, which honors and celebrates the power of courage in every child. Perfect for cheering someone on, this story affirms how bravery can show up in all different ways!

When I look at you,
shining bright as the sun,
I wish for you this…
be brave little one!

It’s another rhyming story that I’m sure my kids will love!

The book honors and celebrates the power of courage in every child!

The illustrations are colorful and adorable! It also stimulates the kids’ imagination as well.

No matter how small a kid is, he or she can stand up and be brave! It boosts the kids’ confidence!

The books are both cute! The kids love the rhyming stories very much, and they love to tell the story to each other by reading aloud. It’s nice as it practices them to pronounce their words clearly, and even boosts their confidence in speaking in front of a crowd. Among the two, they really like the second book as it teaches them to become brave and stand up for what they believe in!
