Butcher Box is a subscription box service that delivers premium quality meat for $129 per month. Each box comes with a selection of meat (about 15-20 meals worth) that has been carefully cut and prepared. The Butcher Box brings back that unique experience you get when you visit your local butcher shop. Their specialty is 100% grass-fed beef, but they also provided mixed subscription options. You can also have the box delivered every two or three months depending on your needs.
This is a review of the Beef & Pork Box that costs $129. We get extra ground beef in every box plus, this time, we got the ground beef and bacon add-on combo for $19. There are three double packs of ground beef but only one is in the actual base box.

All the meats are vacuum sealed in plastic, packed in an insulated bag, and then kept frozen within the outer soft-side cooler padding and box with a large dry ice pack. We’ve always had everything arrive rock-solid, so there have been no issues with temperature control during shipping. The meat arrives ready to throw in the freezer or thaw for use.
The flap of the box indicates a checklist, so you’ll know what to do with the contents when it arrives!

Here are all of our choices!
Ground Beef. We got ground meat for burger patties! They only produce a little liquid when cooked and doesn’t flare up when grilled.
According to the label, the meat is 100% grass-fed and finished without added hormones or antibiotics. Also, it consists of 85% lean meat and 15% fat.
Beef Flat Iron Steak. Iron steak is a cut of meat taken from the shoulder part of the beef. It’s so lean and meaty, and the perfect meat to pair with a full-bodied sauces, like a red wine glaze.
It is known to be one of the most popular choice for marinated or grilled steak or sandwiches for serving over a fresh salad in buffets.
Beef Eye Round Roast. This portion of the beef features boneless low-fat meat sourced on the lean and active muscle, meaning it contains lesser fat but produces a ton of flavor.
This chunk of meat is also ideal for marinating, grilling, or even pot roast.
Applewood Smoked Uncooked Bacon. Bacon!!! This is the kind of meat I can’t really resist. It’s not just tasty but easy and quick to cook as well.
There are different techniques on how to prepare and cook this smoked bacon. They can be microwaved, put in a broiler, or baked in an oven. It’s also certified to be gluten-free, non-GMO, and paleo-friendly.
Pork Loin Chop. It’s a boneless and juicy part of the pork that is perfect for breaded, pan-fried, marinated, or even grilled dishes.
Pork loin is so meaty and very flavorful. It’s so rich in fiber and protein, plus it’s very easy to cook.
Boneless Pork Butt. I’m not into pork butt that much, but this cut from Butcher Box is definitely a great way to try one.
This part of the pork is so meaty and pretty juicy too. It’s the ideal meat for marinating and grilling.
We decided to oven roast this chunk of meat for our dinner.
We added some apple slices in the baking pan and showered the meat with pepper and other seasonings.
Roasting the meat in the oven made it very soft and easy to slice.
Looking closer, this meat features a crispy outer layer with a tender and juicy meat inside! So delicious!
The meat is just perfect, so chewy, and quite tasty!
Butcher Box is the real deal for meat lovers. Although the box is pricey, they assure you that you only get the highest quality meat available. Our choices for this month include a combination of beef and pork meat. We enjoyed the steaks so much, and the smoked bacon is just as wonderful. Bacon will be our forever favorite! All the meat arrived deep-freezed and was cut into manageable sizes, so preparing and cooking them is way easier! We also love the ability to add on extras of our favorites!
