It is designed to fit the needs of the UK Royal mail – but in the cutest little flat box! You know this one is really going to grab and go!
Every box includes colorful stickers. For this month, we got stickers featuring colorful eggs and insects!
Everything in the box!
Every box also includes a fun magazine for kids.
This month is themed Hoppy Easter!
The booklet also contains various on-page activities, like this egg hunt-inspired one!
My kids started their quest for the eggs! They need to find the eggs and use their coordinates to plot them the map.
They also included the Butterfly’s Life Cycle.
Another feature is about fruits and veggies you can grow in your own garden.
The experiment for this month is called the Egg Drop Experiment. They included a space where kids can jot down their ideas.
This month’s featured recipe is the Easter Egg Pizza.
There’s also another activity where the kids will find all of the hiding sheep on the pages.
My kids love the activities and started right away!
There’s also an activity where the kids need to add colorful petals to the already available stems on the magazine!
They are encouraging subscribers to share experiences and projects from toucanBox on social media using #toucanboxmag.
This booklet is so fun and colorful overall!
This month’s pack contains 2 crafting activities, Chick Bunting & Bunny Ears and Bunny Tail!
Here are two cute stickers relating to the crafting activities!
Activity No. 1: Chick Bunting & Bunny Ears. For the first project, we used the templates, feathers, watercolor paints, plastic needle, wool, double sided tape, sticky back eyes, white crayons, foam beaks, headband, pipe cleaners. From home, we need to grab some tape and a pair of scissors.
According to the booklet, this activity needs a bit of grown-up assistance.
The kids grabbed the white crayons and started drawing lines on the white egg templates.
It’s not noticeable in the photo, but they’re making zigzags!
After drawing, they cut the along the lines they made.
Then they stuck the white halves on the yellow egg templates.
They added some wiggly eyes and beaks on the chicks too!
Then, they added colorful feathers! The chicks look so adorable!
Here are the fun looking chicks, ready for the Easter festivities!
Next, they grabbed their paintbrush and started painting the white egg templates.
They also created different color patterns on each egg.
They stuck the eggs and chicks together on the string!
Here’s the finished Chick and Egg decoration!
They nailed this one, it looked really good on hanging on our wall!
Next, we’re making some bunny ears!
For this activity, we need to use the headband and some pipe cleaners.
After forming the ears using the pipe cleaner and wool, it’s time to put it on the headband!
Here’s my little bunny, ready to hop and find some eggs!
Activity No. 2: Bunny Tail. For the next project, we’re making the bunny tail. The materials included are a bunny stencil, burlap sheet, watercolor, sponge, wool, needle, and pompom.
First, we need to make the pompom, which will serve as the bunny’s tail!
Just spin and wrap the wool around the pompom template.
It came with detailed illustrated instructions and they were really helpful.
My kids dabbed some paint on the burlap after placing the stencil.
He completely covered the bunny pattern with paint.
We let it dry before proceeding to the next step.
We placed the pompom on where the bunny’s tail is supposed to be. Then we added decorations using the glitter glue!
The art looks awesome!
My son formed the glitter glue into grasses!
toucanBox is always a hit with my children! They love the activities in the magazine, aside from the projects that came with it. This month’s Easter-themed box is awesome, it’s a different take on celebrating Easter aside from the traditional Easter Egg Hunt. I also love the fact that they provided all the materials and instructions, so the kids just need to sit down and work on them right away. It’s also a good bonding activity for the whole family!
