Luxe Box is a quarterly beauty box curated by the same people behind Topbox. The box is $26 with free shipping and is sent out every three months. Luxe Box offers some customization options as boxes are being prepared, usually allowing subscribers to choose a foundation shade or a preference for nail polish, for example.

First look! The Summer 2019 box is sold out and if you subscribe your first box will be the Fall box.

Skin&Co Whipped Cleansing Cream $7 — Skin&Co is an Italian skincare line that Luxe Box has featured previously. I’ve loved everything so far that I’ve tried. The cleansing cream is part of Skin&Co’s truffle collection which uses truffle extract for intense hydration. It also has one of my fave ingredients, centella asiatica which is amazingly soothing. Skin&Co is cruelty-free, gluten-free, and paraben-free, and this particular product is also vegan.

Revlon Lotus Water Hair Treatment — This hair treatment by Revlon smoothes, adds shine, and protects from heat styling. It’s a nice refreshing scent. Revlon is not cruelty-free so it’s a product I won’t reach for personally but it was nice to receive a hair product.

Blaq Eye Mask ($5.80) — A set of hydrogel eye masks to use under your eyes. Hyaluronic acid hydrates while activated charcoal absorbs excess oil.

I’ve used these before and they contain a generous amount of essence.

Purlisse Watermelon Energizing Sheet Mask ($5) — Watermelon is one of my favourite ingredients when I think of refreshing, energizing, and hydrating. It really is an ingredient I need to explore more. To add to the refreshing properties of this mask is the ultimate soother aloe vera and cucumber. Imagine chilling this mask and using after a day out in the sun! Purlisse is cruelty free.

Bourjois Rouge Velvet Lipstick — This lipstick feels so soft and light. Very hydrating, but I’m unsure of the staying power. Bourjois is a French makeup company and is not cruelty-free.

Dirty Little Secrets Bronzer ($14) — Terracotta is a cool-toned bronzer that is a bit dark for my skin but I can make work with a light hand. There’s a subtle shimmer. DLS is cruelty free!

Swatches!

Um… hang on a second…

Huda Beauty New Nude Palette ($68) — HOLY !@#$ Luxe Box just sent me a Huda Beauty palette. I know we do our reviews with USD prices, but in Canada this palette is $86. This is literally the most expensive makeup product I have ever owned in my 20+ years of using makeup. And this box is only $26.

Huda’s spin on the nude look reminds me of the Naked Rose/Cherry palettes by Urban Decay with shades of rosey nudes and pinks in addition to more warm browns. It’s a nice mixture of mattes, shimmers, and even some pressed glitter. There’s also a cream concealer/primer shade in the bottom left.

Swatches! This is the peachy nude top row, marbled shade second row, and the darker red glitter.

It seems like last summer I was grousing about how Luxe Box didn’t feel very luxe. But the last few boxes have been great and this month they BLEW me away. I’m absolutely thrilled with this amazing selection for the summer box.

They no longer ship at all to the US (we’re updating the directory) as of a few boxes ago. And yes, the Summer box sold out really quickly so the next box you’ll receive if signing up is the Fall box.
