First look! My products were kept safe in bubble wrap and wadded paper kept the products from moving around during transit. They arrived in a plain white box.

I like the product info cards that Pearlesque provides, they give a brief snapshot into the featured brand, which for May is Lanima:

We partner with small-scale farmers, unique artisans and women’s cooperatives throughout the globe — connecting their stories, ingredients and artistry to our brand ecosystem.

The back of the introductory card listed each product, its retail value, and how to use each item. I like that Pearlesque also includes their own #pearltip for the products.

Everything in my May 2019 Pearlesque Box! Check out those labels, they are so pretty!

Lanima Sustain Daily Powder Cleanser ($21.66) “Discover a treasure trove of healing clays, purifying botanicals and nourishing roots – wildcrafted into one multitasking detox powerhouse.”

It says to use the included spoon to get some of this powder out of the jar but i didn’t see a spoon anywhere. I poured some in my hands and then added a bit of water to form a paste and applied to my face, rubbing it around. It worked pretty well to remove even my face makeup, but I needed to add more water to work it in since it started drying just like a clay mask. Also, I ended up ruining my washcloth trying to get it off so I will use this in the morning as an exfoliator and just rinse it off in the shower.

Ingredients include Red Moroccan Rhassoul clay, spirulina, kaolin clay, and matcha powder, plus plant roots and essential oils.

Lanima Luminous Face Oil ($80) “Drenches skin with a triple shot of soothing hydration, deep nourishment and heart-opening aromatherapy for the ultimate replenishing ritual at your fingertips.”

Face oils, I love them! This one can be used day or night and I must say that after I massaged some on my face I had to get a few more drops to do my neck since it smelled so good!

The box was very informative and talked about the history behind the product.

Ingredients were also listed. The base is apricot, jojoba, kukui, and other oils plus lots of plant extracts and essential oils.

My skin absorbed it quickly and it smells divine, like low key jasmine. My skin seemed to like it.

I was really pleased with the items in my May Pearlesque Box! It was only two items but they are powerhouses and pricey to begin with. The cleanser will be used once a week since it has clay and I need all the oil in my skin. Luckily there was an oil to help keep moisture in, while also providing CoQ10 and vitamin E. The value for the May box was around $101.66!

June’s box will feature items from Colorado-based TellurideGlow!
