Packed to the top!

This month’s theme for Love with Food is CLEAN AND BRIGHT.

For every box sent to subscribers, Love With Food donates a meal to families in need. Don’t forget to review your snacks so you can earn points for even more snacks!

I found inserts with offers from two of this month’s vendors.

Looking good!

Pop Corners White Cheddar Popcorn ($1.43) My daughter grabbed this one first, it’s one of her favorite things to find in this subscription! This one has white cheddar flavor, perfect for a treat with lunch.

The Daily Crave Veggie Chips ($0.81) are one of those snacks that my daughter always claims. She stuck it in her lunch box to eat with a sandwich. They are pretty much like potato chips but prettier.

Papa’s Pops Sweet & Salty Skinless Popcorn ($2) and Pop’d Kerns Sea Salt Popcorn ($1.20) are both popcorn based snacks. Papa’s has the skin of the popcorn removed so it doesn’t get stuck in teeth. Unfortunately, it also removes the fiber. The rest of the ingredients are oil, sugar, and salt, so this is a sometime treat rather than a daily snack. Pop’d Kerns, on the other hand, have 4 grams of fiber in one bag and no sugars. They do have a lot of oil so again, a sometimes treat.

Blue Diamond Almonds Nut-Thins Sriracha Snack Crackers ($1.67) I love to eat rice crackers and these remind me of that particular snack so I looked on the label and sure enough, the first ingredient is rice! The second ingredient is almonds, and these also had a tasty and somewhat spicy bite of siracha to them, which was a tad sweet as well.

Legendary Foods Buffalo Blue Wing Seasoned Almonds ($2.33) I love to eat almonds or any nut actually, and these were certainly tasty!

My almonds were covered in a tasty coating that wasn’t very spicy but it was tangy and just delicious.

Country Archer Hickory Smoke Turkey Jerky ($3.84) and Tomer Kosher Original Kosher Beef Stick ($1.08) go to my daughter and husband since I’m not into jerky-type treats. Turkey Jerky has lots of smokey flavor and is seasoned with tamari and pineapple juice. Beef Stick is also smoke-flavored plus has garlic and celery juice powder for flavor.

BBar Brownie Bar ($1.57) is made with oat flour and chocolate chips plus raisin paste. It makes for a sweet treat when you want something with chocolate.

Tone It Up Peanut Butter Chocolate Protein Bar ($6.25) I stuck this one in my work bag and gobbled it up when I wasn’t able to grab lunch. It was pretty dense but palatable.

Pure Protein Strawberry Bar ($1.16) I think this is the first time I’ve ever noticed hydrolized collagen in the ingredients of a bar. The coating was ok but I dislike the aftertaste left behind by the Sucralose – I knew it had artificial sweetener before I even checked the list. Overall just not for me.

Skinny Jimmy! Chocolate Peanut Butter Bar ($2.49) I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this little bar! It is made with protein crisps, peanut butter, and milk chocolate and tastes like candy! The crispness made me think of a Butterfinger, although easier on my teeth!

Made Good Vanilla Crispy Square ($0.43) These show up pretty often in this subscription box. It’s similar to a Rice Krispies bar but has a vegetable blend powder to try to shove some nutrition in there somewhere.

PB Fit Peanut Butter Powder ($0.83) I would prefer that Love With Food stick to snacks and not powders that need to be mixed into something else. I haven’t tried this product yet. I buy a peanut butter that is made with just peanuts and salt and dislike sweet peanut butter for everyday use (PB cups are the exception). This product has palm sugar in it so I doubt I would use it to make peanut butter, but maybe I’ll add it to a banana smoothie.

Double Dutch Caramel Cookie ($1.25) Stroopwafels show up regularly in this subscription and I am always happy about that! These have a caramel filling sandwiched with two waffle cookies. You can eat them as is or place them on top of a mug of something hot, like coffee, and the heat will warm the cookie up a bit. I liked the hint of cinnamon in this cookie.

Bobo’s Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Oat Bites ($2.66) I was looking forward to eating this treat since I LOVE chocolate and peanut butter, but sadly this didn’t taste like either one of those ingredients! It was very oaty, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it had a weird aftertaste, maybe it was off.

Just Date Syrup I enjoy eating dates and had no idea that date syrup was a thing. I literally just tasted it straight out of the pack and all I can say is imagine that you mixed honey and molasses together, it sort of tasted like that. You can add it to drinks etc instead of sugar.

I am always happy to try new snacks and old favorites in my monthly Love With Food box! There were a lot of bars this month, which make good meals in a pinch when I’m at work and can’t get to lunch. Some of them were tastier than others, so now I know which ones to look for at the store. The rest of the snacks are good to place in my work bag or my daughter’s lunch box and I don’t have to divvy stuff up into zipper bags or visit the vending machine. My favorite item was the SkinnyJimmy treat, so tasty!!!
