The theme this month is OVERPOWERED. The item information card, or Loot Table, is thick and glossy. It contains lots of details! When there are variations, it typically lists each possible variation you might receive.
All the goodies inside the April 2019 Lootaku Box!
Overlord Pin ($12) This month’s pin features Ainz Ooal Gown, formerly known as the Momonga, who is Overlord of the Great Tomb of Nazarick, the creator of the Pandora’s Actor, and the main protagonist of the anime Overlord.
As the King of Darkness or the Sorcerer King, his ensemble looks like one fit for royalty. The pin really captured what he is, an undead skeleton creature. He wears an academic gown adorned with golden and violet edges, while his body is just made up of his bones. There’s also a dark red orb floating under his ribs.
Like most of the pins from this subscription, it has 2 posts to fully support its weight. The pin I got is the 79th out of the only 410 produced.
Death Note Drawstring Bag ($10) This cool drawstring bag is to honor one of the world’s best detectives, L, from Deathnote!
It features his symbol which is letter L in a Cloister Black font. It also features the anime’s logo underneath the letter, which also features a cool play with the letters. I love that mostly L’s merch are either in black or white, which represents his “emo” appearance very well.
Death Note Notebook ($9) What’s a box that features Death Note without the popular Notebook? Well, Lootaku included one!
While the front features the protagonist Light Yagami back to back with his Shinigami Ryuk, the back has a skull design on it, which mostly represents “death”.
And here’s the notebook, with the words Death Note inscribed in front.
When you open the notebook, there are tons of rules and how to’s that you can try, just like what Light did with his!
Some of the rules are creepy enough that you’ll have second thoughts writing on the notebook itself!
It came with a black ribbon bookmark so you can keep up and easily find the last page you wrote a name on.
I love the warning on the information card. It says that the notebook works, which made sense as everybody will die eventually. Clever.
One Punch Man Banpresto DXF Premium Saitama Figure ($30) This box is truly ‘overpowered’ as they included a figure of the legendary Saitama, the One Punch Man!
Saitama was once an ordinary, spiked-haired average guy that undergoes an intense hero training, losing all his tresses. He is also known as the Bald Cape or Caped Baldy.
The figure has a total of 5 attachable parts: a base, his body, his head, his cape, and a support stick that supports his cape.
The figure is wearing his popular yellow and red suit, with his white cape, flicked on his back, and a black belt with a round gold buckle. His cape looks like it’s being blown by the wind (or maybe it’s because of Saitama’s strong aura).
His cape is fully supported from the base by the included stick. It also gives Saitama the ‘cool and confident’ look.
He may seem thin, but he has a well-built body.
You can also see that the painted face he has on this figure has the serious look with sharp features, instead of his usual simpler and funny face.
One Punch Man T-Shirt ($25) This month’s shirt is another cool black one, and it features the logo of the Heroes Association from One Punch Man!
Aside from the Association’s Logo that showcases an eagle, what’s special about this shirt is that your rank is, which is printed underneath the logo, indicates the limited edition number of the shirt, and it’s the 320th out of 410! It also includes your hero class, which is an S!
While the back has a bigger logo of the Association, all in white! It’s nicely and specially done!
The box showcased a lot of cool and overpowered stuff this month, as they include items from popular and great animes, Death Note, Overlord, and One Punch Man! Of course, I love the shirt as I now feel that I am a registered hero in the Association, the printed design on the chest part is complete with a rank number and hero class! Saitama’s figure is also another favorite, it shows his fiercer and more serious demeanor, which is cool as I am used in seeing him on his simpler and funny style. The Death Note bag and notebook are cool too, they may seem a little creepy but they are undeniably awesome inclusions! The Overlord pin is great too! It’s another one to add to my growing geeky pins collection!
