Ipsy is a monthly beauty subscription. You get five makeup, beauty, skincare, and hair care items in a cute bag for $10 a month! It’s the most popular subscription box and a great way to sample new colors and beauty brands.

Ipsy May 2019 Glam Bag. This month’s bag is really glittery!

The zipper is in black and the pull tab is designed like a tassel. Also, the interior fabric is in red. This bag is spacious enough to accommodate all my beauty stash!

This month’s theme is Daydream!

The information card promotes female-founded brands and tells us about how we can have a chance to add-on whatever deluxe samples or full-size products we like!

Of course, there’s a list of all the items in the package, along with a description and a beauty tip.

Everything in my May 2019 bag!

There are many bag variations every month for Ipsy – login to your account to check out how-to videos and tips for your products. They’ve also started emailing out product information and tips from their influencers!

F.A.R.A.H. Brushes 22E Shade & Blend ($22) Made with vegan bristles, this dual-ended brush is versatile and ideal for on-the-go touch-ups. The bristles are gentle on the skin as well.

The tapered end blends eyeshadow seamlessly. Its shape enables a precise application.

The other end is a short shading brush that is great for contouring and defining your features.

Lord & Berry 20100 Maximatte Crayon Lipstick in Here & Now ($20) It’s a lipstick that looks like a big crayon, and it delivers big results as well. It’s well-pigmented, plus the color stays all day. The formula is non-drying too.

I got it in Here and Now, a bright pink-orange shade. To protect the tip of the lipstick crayon, it comes with a transparent cap.

Nature’s Cartel Multi-Purpose Stick in Glowball Awakening #1 ($12) I’m so into multi-purpose products, especially for makeup, and this stick didn’t disappoint! It’s a highlighter, eyeshadow, and lip color in one. The formula is creamy and well-pigmented. Also, it’s easy to use, all you have to do is swipe and blend. It has a pinkish color but when applied to the skin, it leaves a nice golden sheen with a bit of a lavender highlight.

Blossom Compact Eyeshadow in Dusty Miller ($18) This travel-friendly eyeshadow comes in a pink plastic packaging.

At the bottom of the container is a list of ingredients. It’s made in China.

It looks like a deep brown in the photo, but it’s more of a purpley brown when applied on my skin.

Here are the swatches! On top is the lipstick, followed by the highlighter/eyeshadow/lip color stick, and the eyeshadow.

Pixi By Petra H20 Skindrink ($7.54) Aptly named as Skindrink, this gel keeps the skin hydrated and nourished. The formula is lightweight, so it gets easily absorbed by the skin. It also has a cooling effect.

It’s packed with green tea, aloe vera, and rosemary, which all help in protecting and healing the skin.

This month’s Ipsy is dominated by makeup products, which includes a lipstick, a multi-purpose stick, and a compact eyeshadow. I even got a makeup tool, a dual-ended brush that I can bring during my travels! Although there was only a skincare item, I’m really happy about it. My skin loves the hydrating gel! I like its cooling effect, which is perfect to use for summer. All in all, it was a great curation because everything’s high-quality and perfect to pack for trips. I’m looking forward to more amazing makeup and skincare products from Ipsy! My bag had an unusually high $80 value – but I felt that it was significantly overpriced for many of the items!
