Luxe Box is a quarterly beauty box curated by the same people behind Topbox. While the regular Topbox only ships within Canada, Luxe Box has a US version as well. Both boxes are $26 with free shipping and are sent out every three months. Luxe Box offers some customization options as boxes are being prepared, usually allowing subscribers to choose a foundation shade or a preference for nail polish, for example.

First look!

Brune Nail Polish ($12) — Brune polishes are cruelty free and paraben free. Their small collection of eyeshadows and polishes are very simple neutrals and natural shades.

Hadaka Marula Butterful ($9.76) — Hadaka is a Canadian brand I haven’t heard of before so I’m excited to receive such a generous sample size. This smells AMAZING! Citrusy and bright but not too overpowering.

Chapstick Total Hydration — Gotta love classic Chapstick, though this definitely isn’t very exciting. This kind has coconut oil as well as shea butter to seal in moisture.

Nena Glacial Clay Mask ($5.62) — Nena is another Canadian brand that’s new to me. Their clay mask is made with glacier clay that contains over 60 minerals. The ingredients list is refreshingly simple and clean, and I found my skin felt tighter after using it.

Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara — One of Lancome’s latest mascaras that promises instant 12x the volume for your lashes that lasts all night and even the morning after. Lancome unfortunately isn’t cruelty free so I didn’t try this out for myself, but I love that Luxe Box usually sends us one of the latest mascaras as these trial sizes are perfect for travel.

Manna Kadar Miracle Balm ($19) — This product, primarily mineral oil, is pretty much the same as the Cake Beauty Delectable Balm that I’ve reviewed previously in Topbox. It’s a multipurpose balm you can use on dry cuticles, dry ends, small cuts, lips, etc. Unfortunately it has artificial colouring which I think they could have done without, and it does also contain parabens if that concerns you. This tiny tube is fullsize but you only need a tiny amount as it’s quite effective.

Nude By Nature Mineral Eyeshadow ($16.52)  — A loose pigmented eyeshadow with a doe foot applicator to help apply it. This is the shade Rose Sand, a stunning rose gold. Nude By Nature is an Australian brand and we Canadians can find it easily at Shoppers, so I’m happy to see them featured in a subscription box.

It’s so sparkly — I love rose gold!

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea 4-in-1 Setting Spray ($12) — Holy pants, what a catch! This is the retail size travel version sold on Sephora, so while it’s not full size I consider it to be because it’s not a sample. I had a mini of this and really liked it. You can use it as a toner, a setting spray, and also freshen up throughout the day. I love the citrusy scent and it’s both paraben-free and cruelty-free.

WOW! This was an amazing Luxe Box! Two full sized items and some really generous sized samples add to the great value of this box. I’m so happy to have discovered Hadaka and Nena, both cruelty-free Canadian brands!
