Redesigned for 2019, the outside of the box has a bold lime green graphic while the inside has cute little images of snack items.

Plastic wrap and brown butcher paper keep all the contents safe.

February’s box theme is ‘Degusta and Chill’. It is filled with treats, and lots of double portions, to enjoy in front of the tele.

Everything in the February box!

February’s box includes two packs, with three 189mL cartons each, of Appy Kids Co Whole Milk (£1.00). This is a wholesome addtion for lunch boxes or snacktime. As a bonus, the milk is also Red Tractor approved, meaning it is produced and packed in Britain to the highest standards of farming and food preparation.

Next up is Clearspring Organic Seaveg Crispies Turmeric Multi-pack (£2.59). These are thin toasted wafers of nori flavoured with just natural sea salt, turmeric and sunflower oil. The multi-pack contains three sealed packs for portability and freshness, with each portion containing only 18 calories.  While these are a bit pricier than many other snacks, they are also much healthier and more interesting!

Each snack wafer has a light and crisp texture with subtle flavour. I enjoyed trying this but I’m not a big fan of nori in general. However if you like nori then I’d recommend this as a great savory snack option.

The box comes with one bag each of CHOC CHICK Quinoa Pops and Plantain Bites (£1.85). Both vegan treats are covered in Ecuadorian single origin organic cacao. The raw 60% cacao contributes a deep, earthy flavour with minimal sweetness, which I appreciated as a dark chocolate fan.

I prefered the light crispness of the quinoa pops over the fruitiness of the plantain bites, but both were nice.

There are also two little packs of Snaffling Pig Pork Crackling (£0.75) in Low & Slow BBQ and Perfectly Salted flavours. Using premium cuts of pork, these snacks have won 9 Great Taste Awards.

If you like crackling, then you will probably like these. Personally, I am just not a fan of meat flavoured crisps, etc., so these aren’t really my type of thing.  They were also too salty for my taste.

Each box also contains two packs of Deli Kitchen Folded Brioche Flatbreads (£1.25). These little flatbreads are made with butter for a rich taste. Each pack contains 6 flatbreads which are thin and easy to fill. I used these to make grilled flatbreads filled with halloumi and roasted peppers which were super tasty. I look forward to using the next pack!

Explore Cuisine Organic Chickpea Fusilli (£3) is pasta made from chickpea flour and brown rice flour so it is high in protein and fibre while also being organic, vegan and gluten free. I really liked this pasta; it has a firmer texture than traditional pasta with a bit of chew. It’s great if you like pasta al dente.

Sacla’ Reduced Fat Basil Pesto (£2.50) has 30% less fat than regular pesto. It is also suitable for vegans because it’s made with tofu rather than cheese. I regularly buy Sacla’ pesto, both the regular and the reduced fat variety, so I was interested to try this new recipe with the chickpea fusilli. Unfortunately it was a major miss for me.  It was so bland. I tried adding plenty of salt, pepper and good parmesan cheese but it could not be rescued. I definitely prefer the old recipe.

The box contains two bags of Bebeto Watermelon Jelly Gums (£0.50), which is the best selling flavour in the UK.

These are really nice! I love the watermelon flavour and the soft yet chewy texture.

Finally, the box has one bottle of Orangina Original (£1.30).  What can I say?  It’s a classic, with a bright citrus flavour and gentle sparkle.

February’s box contained a few gems and a couple of misses.  Nothing totally blew me away, but my favourite snacks were the Deli Kitchen Flatbreads, Choc Chick Quinoa Pops and the Bebeto Watermelon Jelly Gums.
