Bookcase Club comes in a box with their name all over it and the books wrapped in matching tissue paper. It is so fun!

My January Teenage Dreams books are The Glass Arrow by Kristen Simmons($14.03) and Changes in Latitudes by Jen Malone ($9.99). This month I got one hardback book and one paperback book.

The Glass Arrow by Kristen Simmons($14.03)- This one sounds creepy. I’m all about a dystopian society and to know that things can go so far wrong and back to the past is scary. I want to see Aya rise up and kick some butt and beat the system.

Once there was a time when men and women lived as equals, when girl babies were valued, and women could belong only to themselves. But that was ten generations ago. Now women are property, to be sold and owned and bred, while a strict census keeps their numbers manageable and under control. The best any girl can hope for is to end up as some man’s forever wife, but most are simply sold and resold until they’re all used up.

Only in the wilderness, away from the city, can true freedom be found. Aya has spent her whole life in the mountains, looking out for her family and hiding from the world, until the day the Trackers finally catch her.

Stolen from her home, and being groomed for auction, Aya is desperate to escape her fate and return to her family, but her only allies are a loyal wolf she’s raised from a pup and a strange mute boy who may be her best hope for freedom . . . if she can truly trust him.

Changes in Latitudes by Jen Malone ($9.99)- Love and fun on the high seas. Family drama can always lead to some fun and unexpected shenanigans.  While being cooped up on a sailboat the outgoing deckhand is always tempting.  I want to know the fun they get into.

After concluding that her is to blame for her parents’ recent divorce, Cassandra McClure is hoping to stay as far away from her as possible. With a summer of freedom right around the corner, it shouldn’t be too hard. But when a forty-foot sailboat appears in her driveway and her mom announces that Cassie and her brother Drew will be accompanying her on a four-month sailing trip down to Mexico, Cassie’s plans for the summer go, quite literally, overboard.

Once the three set sail, tensions quickly rise. So meeting Jonah—a gorgeous, whip-smart deckhand—is an unexpected bright spot on an otherwise dim horizon. Though she tries to keep him at a distance—considering the upheaval of her home life—their chemistry is impossible to ignore, and Cassie soon finds herself questioning everything: Should she go for it with Jonah? Can she forgive her mom? Will home ever feel the same? With life’s unpredictable tides working against her, Cassie must decide whether to swim against them, or dive right in.

BookCase.Club sends me two books each month that I can grab up to ready anytime I’m ready. My boys and I have started doing nightly reading times together and since they no longer need me to read with them I get to grab something for myself and just read along side them. I’m loving it and BookCase.Club is keeping me well stocked with great books by new authors for me to sample and fall in love with for a great price.
