A short profile is filled out at checkout including cat’s name, gender, weight, and if treats are to be included. If your kitty has special dietary needs then a substitution for a non-edible item will be made. WhiskerBox supports shelters, rescues, and sanctuaries with each box purchased.
WhiskerBox sends toys, cat couture, treats, and specialty products each month.
WhiskerBox no longer puts out a product info card, so keep in mind that boxes may vary.
My items were tucked into purple shredded paper.
Everything in my box!
The Pet Loo Kitty Care Toilet Cleaner For Cats ($9.99?) Although I found a picture of this product on the PetSafe site, I couldn’t find it for sale so perhaps it is discontinued?
It said “toilet cleaner for cats” and I seriously thought at first that it was meant for the toilets in my home, since my cat has been known to drink from the big bowl.
Turns out you can use it on something called The Pet Loo, which is a box topped with artificial turf so your pet can pretend they are peeing outside. You can also use it on litter boxes, which I did.
I received an item that had no wrapping or ingredients listed.
Looks (and smells) like dried fish, possibly sardines? Minnows?
Hey, there’s an eyeball in there! I hate it when food looks back at me.
Sunny seemed happy to try these.
Zoey gave them a sniff.
While both cats thought the treats smelled good, they ended up not eating any future offerings.
Classic Denim Jacket for Pets ($12.49) The bag that this jacket was in says it is size medium.
It is made of 100% cotton and even had a label on the back, like denim jeans!
There were three snaps in front, which would actually be the underside of a cat.
My cats would scratch my eyes out if I tried to put their arms in the sleeves, so I had to settle for draping it over their backs!
Miss Zoey was a blur as she tried to run away from me.
She is also very smart. She kept rubbing against stuff until the piece fell off.
Green Magic Lightning Bolt Catnip ($3.99 CAD, about $3.03) looks pretty durable and is filled with catnip. Sorry, no pics with this piece!
WhiskerBox sends a cute costume every month, and I think the toy is cute. The box cleanser is ok, but not something that I would have looked for in store. The fish treat needs some labeling. The value for this month’s box is around $26, well below the promised $70+ value and worth about half of what was paid for the box. I understand that this box ships from Canada and that shipping is included, but I can’t help feeling disappointed in the value.
