Scentbird is a monthly perfume and fragrance decanting subscription. With Scentbird, you get a thirty-day supply of perfume every month – Scentbird takes authentic perfumes and decants them into travel sprayers. There are over 450 fragrances to choose from and Scentbird adds new ones every month! You can save when you purchase a multi-month subscription, or even arrange to receive perfume every other month. Scentbird now offers candles, hand creams, body wash + scrubs, and makeup to choose from, too!

Everything in my box! I usually receive a card with my chosen scent, ingredients, and notes listed but not this month.

The container safely held my scent during shipping and has replacement instructions right on the side.

Bon Parfumeur Paris 602 Eau De Parfum ($48 for 1 ounce, or $16.95 from Scentbird as a one-time purchase) I went with a unisex scent with notes of patchouli and wood for winter. 602 falls into the woody spicy scent group and I wanted a feeling of warmth or sitting next to a fireplace: cozy and earthy. From the Bon Parfumeur website:

The 602 begins with an offering of luminous citrus notes with the bitterness of grapefruit and the freshness of mint. The heart note unleashes a more cold and spicy character with pepper and berry essential oils. The fragrance depicts woody patchouli essences, cedar and vetiver. Finally, this composition develops smoky and mystic tones.

You can click on the different sections of any particular scent to see what other subscribers thought of the scent. I picked a new scent so there hasn’t been a ton of activity on it yet, but out of the 6 people who voted, 3 of them agreed that this scent was woody. I picked up cedar and a whiff of something almost medicinal, or like eucalyptus. The scent was green and yet warm, like crushed greenery in a forest. I also detected a hint of vetiver, and I guess the patchouli has given it a hint of sweetness. It fades quickly. I will probably find a sweeter scent to layer with this one.

You will receive a sprayer with your first shipment. Most likely the sprayer will be white for women, black for men. You may order other sprayers and will occasionally receive a new one, like this awesome red color I received a few months ago.

Simply place the scent vial in the sprayer…

…and twist down to hide the top. Twist back up to expose and spray.

I love trying new scents through my Scentbird subscription, and I appreciate that they have additional items to choose from, such as soaps, lotions, and makeup. They have really added a lot of niche fragrances in the last year and I love the uniqueness and diversity of the scents. My value was probably on the low side this month, but then again, I didn’t have to drop $48 on a full bottle of something I might not want to wear in the long run.
