nmnl is a monthly beauty subscription box by the brains behind Tokyo Treat and Yume Twins. This is the new and improved nmnl! For the last few years since their launch, they have only included Japanese beauty brands but have taken subscriber wishes into consideration and have redesigned it to feature both Japanese and Korean beauty!

DEAL: Use coupon code HELLOSUBS at checkout to save 10% ($3.50) on your first box!

The items were wrapped in pink tissue paper.

The booklet has also been redesigned and features the same content as before, from box contents to contests and photo features.

Baker7 Lip Tint — It took me a minute to figure out how this all works, but the tint itself is in the “lollipop” part

It’s a bit bulky, but the orange red colour is great for spring. Swatches at the end of the review — I was surprised how long-lasting the stain was!

Berrisom Animal Mask — The dog mask has a hyaluronic acid serum to keep skin hydrated. Perfect for the chilly winter months when skin can feel dry.

Baker7 Cake Hand Cream — An adorable banana themed hand cream. It has a light banana candy scent and soaked into my hands easily without feeling too greasy. I like that nmnl is sending us some good hydrating products this winter.

Facial Cleansing Brush — I have one of these already so I will probably gift this one, but if you’ve never used one before they’re great. The bristles are suuuuuuper soft and are so gentle on your skin. I usually use my Foreo Luna to wash my face but the manual action of using this super soft brush is a nice change and it lathers up my foaming cleanser very nicely.

Colour Mascara — Another way to add a vibrant look to your makeup is with a coloured mascara. Subscribers received either red or blue.

nmnl suggests applying mascara just to the tips of your lashes for a fun ombre effect.

Mineral Ion Hairbrush — A unique brush from Japan that has mineral ores in it that radiate infrared rays… which apparently help your hair. It sounds kind of strange to me!

It’s a small size and will be great to carry in my purse for windy days.

Etude House Eyeshadow — Popular kbeauty brand Etude House has these adorable heart-printed eyeshadow singles. It’s a nice dark pink with a shimmer.

Swatches of the lip tint, mascara, and eyeshadow!

Foam Curlers — A unique set of curlers that you weave your hair through while wet.

They include foam rings to secure the end. These are definitely unlike the foam rollers I’m used to!

The March theme was VIBRANT VIBES and I definitely think the products included suit, whether it was a crazy colour, a crazy package, or just cool. I like that they included beauty tools, and some hair specific products.

For the most part, when a K-Beauty product is labeled as “whitening” it is really meaning “brightening.” You’ll notice that the first ingredient on that serum is Niacinamide, which is a great ingredient for brightening skin and helping it be clear. While there may be pressure in Asian beauty to have the palest skin possible, “whitening” doesn’t have the same connotation that it would in an American beauty product.
    Hope this makes sense!

I’ve been a kbeauty user for over a decade, so I assumed that was common knowledge and I didn’t have to explain it for the billionth time, lol! Not sure what serum you’re talking about, unless you mean the sheet mask.
