February 2019 theme is CUTER THAN CUPID!
I love the red satin pouch where the lippies are stored because it is reusable.
And when I thought the packaging cannot be any cuter, they released this collection.
We have a card that described every shade this month.
All the lipsticks this month!
They gave us 2 different kinds of lipstick finish, matte, and satin!
The packaging is in bold matte magenta with little details of gold hearts that made the collection more youthful.
Cupid. It’s nice that they included a satin metallic finish here. The finish made the bubblegum pink different. I don’t usually wear this kind of finish but I like the flattering color. It doesn’t feel tacky and settles on the lips quickly.
Kissaholic. This simple matte pink lipstick is my fave out of the three because it is flattering on any skin tone and can be worn on any occasion. The color has a youthful vibe and easy on the eyes.
Mi Amore. I would’ve loved a true classic red color for the Valentine’s but I guess I got my bold color fix with the trendy berry color.
As you can see, the three swatches are vibrant and pigmented. I do see some streaky tendencies with Mi Amore. It reminds me of the deep color of wine and can be hard to manage but I think they won’t budge after you let them dry. Filling it in worked out fine for me.
As always, the doe foot applicator hugs the lips to give them full coverage and full pigment. The formula is not drying and has been consistent even with the satin finish. I appreciate that they are trying to branch out on some shades like the effort in Cupid and the satin finish suit the color as it made the pigment shinier. My favorite is the Kissaholic because the pigment easily makes it the go-to shade and very convenient to wear every day. Looking forward to more changes this 2019!
