At the back of this information card is a trivia about where these coffee beans were harvested from, which is in the Lake Toba from North Sumatra.
According to the bag, the beans were roasted on January 07, 2019, making sure we get the freshest coffee beans available.
Java Presse Coffee Sumatra Mystic Meaning ($20) This month’s featured coffee was made by the Batak people using the process called giling basah or wet hulled on the high regions of Toba in Sumatra, Indonesia which has an estimated elevation of 1,500-1,800 meters above sea level.

The beans look great. They were nicely roasted and the aroma is really inviting!
They were not crumbly, but the beans were easy to grind.
This coffee has a distinct earthy and woody flavor, definitely one best I’ve ever tasted from Sumatra.
It also features a rustic flavor with a bit of molasses sweetness and a hint of cherry fruitiness.
