This month’s box is called NAKIRI!

The back of the intro card has a brief description of everything in the box, explaining why each item is such an awesome choice for this curation. Most boxes have a small selection of items — usually one main item and some accessories.

Everything inside my box!

Zwilling Gourmet Nakiri Knife ($29.99) Wouldn’t it be nice to have one knife to chop any food? The Nakiri knife is made of high carbon, stainless steel. I can just deliver a small amount of effort in chopping and let its blade do the rest.

Usually, brands give warranties for how long they think their product will last. Their confidence is giving me confidence in their product as well!

The company has been in business for 285 years. The techniques of making knives and exceptional cutlery has been passed from generations to generations. It exudes innovation, quality, and precision as it should be.

The logo of Zwilling J.A. Henckels is recognizable as superior quality for professional chefs and cooks worldwide.

The blade in the illustration is different from the actual product. This knife has a squared edge as opposed to the pointy one in the unit carton image.

In the card, you can see the features of the knife and its parts.

The knife is made in Germany. They combine the steel with their signature ice-hardening techniques that’s why it is sharper and harder.

The card offers detailed instructions on how to maintain the sharp edge of the knife. It is dishwasher safe but not advisable to put in there. Hand washing and drying it with cloth are the most recommended ways to go.

The simple ergonomic handle is triple riveted and ensures fatigue-free cutting. Cutting veggies and fruits will now be 50 percent more fun.

It has a nice weight and grip to it that makes the cutting so effective.

The blade will not chip or stain and retain the sharpness longer. As instructed in the card, just don’t use it to cut frozen food or bones to avoid damaging it.

Zwilling Felt-Lined Blade/Edge Guard. It has a fuss-free pack with the edge guard inside.

The card has a lot of information about the protective blade cover. The information is also translated in other languages.

It has a soft brushed cotton lining that prevents scratches with heavy duty material for lasting protection.

The logo made this an exclusive item. It’s easy to slip the blade on and off into the cover.

I place the heel of the knife into the protective blade cover and slide the remaining blade until it is enclosed. Proper storage can prevent accidents.

Cooking can either be a graceful art or just messy depending on the tools you use. A hard-to-use knife can make cooking a nightmare quickly. Imagine cutting the vegetables and meat through hacking? The food just loses its shape and you will not be motivated to cook again. The knife can be versatile and can be used to cut different kinds of food so you don’t need a variety of knives and helps with technique. I appreciate the protective cover given and storage won’t be a problem anymore. This knife is beautiful and as always, I’m excited when great knives are one of the selections because they really expand my cooking range!
